On another exciting and fun football season. Sometimes there is a very fine line between winning and losing and today was no exception to that. Game could have went either way ...I think some key injuries made us play a bit more cousiously then normal but the great defense of Ladue was a big factor in that as well. Good news is we will have more returning starters next year than I can ever remember so we might get a chance to climb the mountain again. Ladue was a great team with classy fans and players . Good luck to the Rams next weekend . Bring home that trophy

Been busy all day with the game, an eight-hour car trip, and socializing with family from out of town...

This game could've gone either way all day long, but I believe the Rams were deserved winners. They actually had a better time moving the football than last week, especially at running back. Once again they kept converting on some pass plays, but bigger ones that came a bit more frequently. It was nice to see Chesson, who dropped a sure-fire touchdown pass and then had a ball taken out of his hands last year at state, who made a handful clutch catches including an incredible one-handed diving grab in the second quarter. Ladue overall was the better team yesterday. They threatened several times offensively and kicked three field goals with two of them getting blocked. Defensively they gave up two big plays and that was pretty much it besides the final drive by Webb City. What the Rams were able to do in the last third and fourth quarters was own the field position. Twice they pinned Webb City back within their own 10-yard line and forced three-and-outs.

The thing that'll haunt the Cardinals is coughing up the ball immediately after they blocked their second field goal with under seven minutes to play. They realistically could've sliced half the time remaining and pin Ladue back deep for one final drive. Instead, they fumble at their 19 and the Rams immediately strike. Give Ladue huge credit by then forcing another three-and-out on the ensuing possession. You knew Webb would put a couple of plays together on their final drive, but that sack by Grench on Beason kinda killed it because Ladue knew they'd have to go deep on their next two plays.

Full highlights of the game will be up tomorrow morning on our YouTube page.
