Congratulations Kearney

Great game. Four turnovers is a killer
Soooooo many stupid pens both sides.....................this is the kind of game that makes this sport the greatest and not because K won!!!! That Savannah semi in 2011 was just as exciting....................MAJOR CONGRATS to Webb City for such a run, one we probably won't see in C4 again (unless the Cards do it again). K wins today but Webb is still the #1 program in my view and the Dogs have cemented #2 and it ain't close!

What a great game! First two games go down to the end right at the goal line. Gotta hand it to Webb kids. They don't lose often, but showed great class at the end when it didn't go their way.

My only problem with anything was why didn't we get to see a replay of the earlier fumble by Roderique? Saw replays all day long, but not that critical play. Made me wonder if MSHSAA was not going to show anything that would suggest the refs might have missed a call. Maybe they didn't, but not showing that play leaves it a legit thought.

Really wish I'd of been there to see this one. I know Webb gets a lot of ribbing on here about everything, but this game was everything I love and admire about football. Down to the wire, one of those "too bad someone had to lose this one" and most importantly, seems like a lot of mutual respect and class between webb and Kearney fans. Congrats to both teams on a great season, and for being great ambassadors for high school football

So what will Webb do with all the rings they pre bought for Christmas presents
Bend over we'll show you LOL

Exciting game but in the end four turnovers are just too many. Not one of Roderique's best coached games. I thought he was way to aggressive with taking chances and clearly his players were not prepared to protect the ball against a hard hitting team.

At the end of the day the game played out in exactly to Kearney's wheel house and to their credit they controlled the game and made the big break at the end to seal the win.

Feel bad for the kids from Webb. That's about as tough of a way to lose as there is. Hopefully they'll be able to focus on the positive of fighting back to come inches away.

Hard to win six strait.

That's exactly what I thought.I was pissed when they didn't show it after showing all the other replays. It would have been better if they just showed it instead of having us all think that it was fishy.

I may be reaching here but suspect game 3 (C2 championship) won't be nearly as close BUT that is why they play the game.

I'm sure your credentials merit the coaching critique you've publicly shared. I know that I'm not qualified to second guess one of the most successful HS coaches in the nation.

Given the way the game played out I think there were certainly strategic aspects that were fairly obvious and fair game to criticism. I can certainly hold a valid criticism pertaining to them without calling into question either John's overall ability as a coach or claiming superior abilities. Certainly no one is perfect or beyond criticism.

Overall the emphasis wasn't to call into question Roderique's coaching ability but rather to point out their was a lot of factors that lead to the defeat. Certainly coaching factored into the defeat as did poor play and a solid opponent.

Looking at the game stats, it's baffling that WC didn't win this one. Clearly it was just one of those days for the Cardinals.Sometimes all you can do is shake your head and be proud with the heart the team played with. This is the kind of game that will drive you crazy when you look back and see just how close you were and that if you could have made just one of a handful of plays you would have won.
