Congrats Lamar!

Quick story! I went to Monett and my sophomore yr we beat Lamar 43-0 as they went on to go 0-10 that yr! Fast forward to my sr year we were 6-0 ranked #1 in class 3 and little o 1-5 Lamar was coming to town! We barley won that game 28-21 and were shocked at how good Lamar was! They went and made their 1st semi final appearance have gone 113-10 from that game and are now playing for their 7th straight state championship! It truly has been an honor and a pleasure watching “the brotherhood” go from being the doormat to the big 8, to now going for unprecedented 7th straight title! Congrats to you guys and good luck next week

We finished 7-7 that year. Were 1-6 going in to districts though

I was thinking of that year and the previous year when you finished the year 6-6 after losing in the quarters (not semis...)

08 was sectional round to warsaw. They lost to fair grove in the quarters the next week

So it was ‘08 that was the first year they started taking district runner-ups into the playoffs? (And I know Lamar won their district, just thought 12 games meant quarters, but not if it was the year that runner-ups made it through...)
