Congrats to the players and coaches of the Houston Tigers

lost 28-6 last night to Mountain Grove
BUT
They finished the season with a record of 8-3

first winning season since the 6-5 campaign of 2008

most wins in a season since the 9-4 semifinal team of 2005

I’m going to assume probably their best finish in conference since 2005 as well.
3-way tie for 2nd at 5-2
Houston beat Ava, Ava beat Grove, Grove beat Houston

Mrs. TLBMIM’s alma mater and stomping grounds .- and she said this season was the best they’ve played in forever. She did add that the daytime game a few weeks ago with MG was bullisht considering the team played all its games at night. The game comes back to good ole Houston next year, same day time hours. Hopefully the tigers play better against Grove.

There’s always one or two fans that will find something to complain about.
So forgive me if I don’t believe that was the opinion of more than 2% of Houston fans.

I dont know what the percentage of fans was involved, but it became a pretty big deal on a Houston Herald post about the change in game time. Even a houston player was involved mouthing about it all.

Both schools agreed back in the spring to play a day time game so that students at the school could all come. So not sure how it could be considered BS when they both agreed on it and then suddenly when the game week gets here suddenly they start crying.

It's what some Houston fans do.....blaming the 1pm game loss on the start time was so laughable they gave up 4 TDs and their only Score was the results from a WR not getting covered by anyone. They had since March to make a adjustment for the 1pm game. I guess Groves staff and Players do a much better Job adjusting to playing at different times like 1pm and 5pm than people from Texas county do.

My favorite was from a Houston mom as we strolled into the Tunnel.... "IF Grove Can't Beatem they Cheatem" with early start times. That was Delicious and Sweet! Ok Houston Mom if it makes you feel better to believe that and it soothes the Failure of your Boys lack of ability to Beat Grove in two tries then so be it!!

I think the percentage was much bigger than 2% but with that said I don't think it was much over 40/50% who believed that. Although some Players their parents/Grandparents etc. where involved with the complaining on SM. MG school administration fielded a lot of Calls from Texas county the week of the 1pm game as well.

Kirk Cousins can’t win a game that’s not at noon. So maybe Houston can only win at 7? I’m joking obviously. Lol Sounds like a lot of nothing. They just don’t want to have their best season in awhile to end.

No coach or player believes Mtn. Grove won because of either start time. Mountain Grove is a talented and well coached team. They proved they were the better team twice. Anything else is just nonsense. Congrats to them and good luck to them next week.

Our kids worked their tales off in the weight room and played hard physical football and we are proud of their effort. Appreciate the post Chaotic.
