Since the news broke about OU and TX heading to the SEC, I thought how can we improve Missouri High School conferences where conference's going down hill or Conference's hardly finding more teams to fill 7-9 Game conference games. North Central and Tri-County conference are the two that i think fits this Category.

My Realignment for Both Conference

North Central
Blair Oaks
Centralia
Fulton
Hallsville
Kirksville
Mexico
Moberly

Tri-County
Booneville
California
Eldon
Marshall
Osage
Smith-Cotton
Southern Boone
Versailles

Not that it matters at all but the 'ozark west' would make more sense if you swapped Branson and Ozark with Republic and Willard.

Placeholder name lol. The Nixa-Ozark-Branson combo was one I didn't want to break up. I also think they fit better athletically with the Joplin area 5. Republic and Willard fit better with the Springfield 5 and Rogersville.

Leave Hannibal OUT of the CMAC. None of those schools want to do that trip every other year. They can go to the Gateway (if they would be taken.) CMAC is fine with Hickman, Rock Bridge, Battle, Jefferson City, Helias, Capital City and Smith-Cotton

after reading this i agree with you. Hannibal plays Helias, Jeff City, And Battle every year as they're non conference games. if you compare NCMC, CMAC, Gateway North division, some NCMC schools are definitely tougher then the Gateway north division and Some CMAC schools. i keep Hannibal in the NCMC, and hope the NCMC brings in Blair Oaks, Hallsville, Macon, or Bowling Green.

10 Closest Big Schools to Hannibal

1. Troy Buchanan 1 Hr 4 Min enrollment- 1561
2. Mexico 1 hr 8 Min Enrollment- 520
3. North Point 1 Hr 14 Min Enrollment- 668 will go up
4. Moberly 1 Hr 15 Min Enrollment- 555
5. Winfield/Elsberry 1 Hr 19 Min Enrollment- 527
6. Holt 1 hr 21 Minutes Enrollment- 1361
7. Timberland 1 Hr 23 Min Enrollment- 1359
8. St Dominic 1 Hr 24 Min Enrollment 645
9. Liberty Wentzville 1 Hr 24 Min Enrollment- 1185
10 Fulton 1 Hr 26 Min Enrollment- 511

In your hypothetical “new” conference scenarios, Any changes or additions to the Four Rivers Conference?
Union
Pacific
St Clair
Sullivan
Owensville
St. James
Hermann

No changes or split up large small schools? Bring back Washington or other area schools to expand or split?

There was some talk a few years ago of adding Cuba, Salem, Rolla, Washington and Borgia and splitting into divisions. I think the Rolla paper had a story on it.

Four Rivers Large
Borgia, Rolla, Pacific, St Clair, Union, Washington

Four Rivers Small
Cuba, Hermann, Owensville, Salem, St James, Sullivan.

Hmm! Those look good and would make sense in all sports not just football. But would this ever happen is the real question.

Smith-Cotton in the tri-rivers? Can’t see that happening. Class 5 school with class 2 and 3 schools…

For football, Borgia would have to go into the Small division. They dropped to Class 2 this year with the multiplier taken out and no recent postseason success. And Sullivan would have to go to the Large division, since their enrollment numbers are bigger than St. Clair's

I would like to see Versailles, Clinton, Warsaw, Skyline, Knob Noster, Holden form their own conference.
That makes more sense to me than any other proposed realignment posted. That should be a competitive conference in all sports for both men and women (can I say those words or not?).

Old Tri-County back with Clinton instead of Blair Oaks. That is the one that makes most sense - geographically, athletically, demographically.

California
Clinton
Eldon
Osage
Versailles
Warsaw

Would love to see Jefferson County schools (with a few adjacent schools) form a large and small division. No chance of this actually happening, but fun to think about.

I don’t understand why all of the catholic schools in the St.louis area don’t form 1 conference and split into a large and small.

Agree 100% plus Nevada and Mac Cty need to find a conference that fits their size, if that's possible. The old Big 8 was almost a perfect fit for all the schools involved. Moving East Newton is a good move for them. Other than that, sw5890, bear country, very good.
