Things will change without a doubt before all is done....

But I think its safe to say that the SEC's problems with the Bowl games that have been played so far is the reason there is not already a post on here about conference bowl records....

I agree. But I think context is key. The #1 and #2 SEC teams are in the national championship so the bowl eligible hierarchy is shifted toward the less talented teams. This effect is seen in the success of the Big 10. We don't often get to see conference #1s playing each other except in the championship

True but, one particular poster makes claims that would indicate the SEC has the top 10 teams in the country.

Yeah, I know. I'm a Big 10 fan but I think it's important to understand the factors involved. If we define our self worth by the success of the sports teams we follow then we really are socially retarded

Aww that's cute.

1-3 baby. And all 5 New Years Bowl games have an SEC team playing. Unprecedented!

2 SEC teams in Final 4 means their 'lesser' teams slide up a slot.
Otherwise Mizzou would have slummed against some chump like Southern Miss.

How about the UK RB getting ejected...by a ref from....OP, KS?!?!??! SEC hate goin on? Thats a win that got taken away for sure.

Lock should have been drug off the field by his facemask after his showing off. Mizzou needs to win something before they pull that crap.

Happy New Year all.

Post of the year! Better late than never.

There he is! Thank goodness Mizzou was the lesser team in the SEC, so they could move up a slot to lose to a team they thought was lesser a few years ago.

You really should thank goodness a blue blood like FSU had to reschedule a game against La-Monroe to go to pissant bowl against a pissant opponent....all because BAMA beat the bejesus out you and your team never recovered.

Mizzou wasn't good on offense without their OC. It happens. I'd have LOVED to played Texas many of the past 10 years. Ask Okie Lite , Minn, Arky etc.

Desperate much? That 66th ranked schedule treated MU well this year!

I don't know what the fascination is with bowls actually played on New Years. The SEC has unranked 8-4 South Carolina playing in one of those games against another 8-4 team. And #17 LSU is playing #14 Notre Dame ($$$$). These bowls aren't even a part of the New Year Six.
