Those 7 could probably get it done. Kirksville or Centralia to even it out at 8. I don't see Centralia leaving the CCC though.

True, The only thing that would benefit Centralia and Macon would be travel.
I did hear rumors back in december that Bowling Green and South Shelby was swapping each other but it was only rumors. I surely do missed Mark Twain being in the CCC.
What you guys think about raising Gas prices, Will it effect some long distance Conference games or long distance Non-Conference games this coming year?

You clearly say that what you heard about BG and SS swapping places was only a rumor...but I assure you that rumor is FALSE. I texted the BG Coach and he said it was absolutely false.
They would be a better fit geographically and also get better competition heading south down 61 to join Troy and the St Chas Co schools.
They do fit better in the gateway conference geographically than the NCMC and the new CMC.
another option for Hannibal is to go Indepedent just for football and schedule Battle, Helias, Jefferson City, Kirksville, Moberly, Both Quincy illinois Schools, and Troy. if they could do this they could have a matchup vs Bowling Green, Palmyra, Or Centralia.
Those St. Charles area schools don't want to go to Hannibal to play. They think it's too far to travel. They're spoiled having all or most of their games close to home. Hannibal already plays Helias, Jeff City, and Battle, so joining that conference for football only wouldn't be a bad option. Independent may be tough scheduling. Hannibal playing schools like BG, Palmyra, or Centralia would not benefit Hannibal in any way.
If they were scheduling some of them, might as well join the Battle conference
The thing about Hannibal is football, and maybe track, is the only thing they really need better competition in. The other sports aren't nearly as good and definitely don't win as much as football. Going to a bigger school/better conference for football hurts pretty much everything else. Idk if they could just switch football only, but they should definitely take a look at it.

I like the conference & schools Hannibal play in, but i think it's time for a change. Hannibal has dominated the NCMC for years now and the closest competition they have is Moberly and Mexico.
