An observation...

I've noticed in the past few years, almost every commercial on TV has a racial and multicultural diverse cast and overtone. If you play attention, almost every commercial will portray non white families, interracial couples and families, social scenes involving people of all races and ethnicity, gay couples.....everyone from all walks of life living together in love and harmony...I'm fine with it, just a sign of our times. I do think most people's inner circle of friends tend to be people of the same race and culture.

Just had the same conversation with the barber this morning....an avowed racist! Good thing he was finished cutting my hair when the topic came up:)

My GF laughs about that all the time and is against it and has Chastised some of mine and her white friends who champion it as progress as helping the Poor minority folks get equal footing.

My Best friends GF was bragging that up at a get together while watching a game, they had changed Jake from the state farm Commercials to a black Jake.....My GF looked at her and said stupid white Girls...Jake is White and will always be White that is a token, and do you really think having a Black Jake is going to get black people to buy state farm Insurance or change anything?

Heck this week we turned off the Harry Potter trivia show on HBO max because the first 3 contestants was black and the fourth was a white gay guy....She said turn this Shart off it's rigged as heck to virtue signal to make white people feel better about themselves. No way every contestant is black or gay.

I just ask my Black Co-worker and she just told me the same thing as my GF it bugs her and she tunes out and it is just checking the box.

I suspect only White Rich Urbaniets(the true Racists) who are activist see the value of this type of adverts....falsely believing that they are making a difference.

The only positive I see is that it putting some money in the pockets of a more diverse group of actors...but it's not changing anything on a grand scale.

Good ole Uncle Joe got in trouble for talking about this a few years back.
I don't remember the exact wording, but anyone over 50 can remember when commercials were always white couples. Now they are showing whatever percentage he said.

I don't care if it is checking a box or virtue signaling. It has become normalized and accepted. It has to become normalized before we can change anyone's opinion.

The effect of over emphasizing something creates the the opposite effect....people who are not sheeple resist overt messaging. If you wanted to Normalize something you mimic the norm with a slight increase in the actual demographics of what is norm in a covert manner. When you red flag and shove something in the face of people that reeks of propaganda it hardly ever changes anyone's opinion. What you just wrote is junk Psychology.

Peoples opinions have to change first and then something becomes normalized not the other way around, your way creates conflict and resistance. How do you change those opinions. By subversive and hidden messaging. Fiction, Science Fiction and the Fantasy genre have been doing this for years. Sports as well with integration of them.
Think about the Famous episode of Star Trek "Let that be your last Battlefield" it exposes the issue of racism in a way that is not preachy or in your face. People must think and grow to change opinions.

The Rub is to make it work it has to be a slow and natural process. To rush the process never works.

I like the mixed race couples and families shown in anything. I hope that racial diversity becomes the norm. I don't like the CRT ideology portraying white people as bad simply because they're white.

Of course I have zero issue with mixed race couples....my GF is Black, my cousin Patricia is married to a Black Air Force Lt.Col. I'm all for being with who ever makes you happy. But with that said while it is more common now than ever before it is still a small percentage of relationships. And over saturating the Media with a uncommon norms is not going to move the world toward more diversity.

I hate CRT as well it is a abomination. And racist as heck to boot.
