St. Louis has won a series vs an NL contender. 1-6-1 in 8 such series.

The big question this week is what do we do with Peralta/Carp/Wong/Gyorko?

Just got back from the game and yes we did. Got to say Yadi looks like crap and MM keeps rollin him out there he is either going to break his record for most innings caught or will once again end up on the DL. Seen them in DC but they lost that game. Record this year now goes to 2-3

Yadi has decided to play on the Rams O-line since he can't block anything. What is Matheny thinking? Yadi could barely get out of his squat to throw the ball back to the pitcher. Pure ignorance.

Hopefully Pena is back soon and MM can trot him out there to relieve Yadi. I agree he looks really run down. As far as the Carp, Peralta, Wong, Gyorko thing goes; Carp moves to 2nd, Peralta plays 3rd, Wong goes to AAA to get regular playing time and work out his issues with his swing.

And he'll have the best contract on the team.

Interesting to see if MM has grown as a Mgr. Will he bat Honny 4th or stick to a young gun who has prospered in the 4 hole? Piscotti has earned the position, but I would not be surprised to see MM insert him with his .229 AAA average into the 4 spot.
The Reds should be a series win for the Birds but they are throwing 2 lefties at us. Go Birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a shame that none of our starters can handle pitching without Yadi behind the plate because he is killing us on offense. You would think we have one starter who would be good enough to pitch without Yadi, but MM doesn't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad:

Yadi finally gets a hit assuring he plays the next 20 games

About 3/5th of the rotation have serious struggles keeping the ball in the yard with Yadi back there. I really don't think it'd be a big difference if someone else was back there. Given the way he's stabbing at the ball and not dropping down to block (granted, that's 2 out of 3 pitches with Garcia on the mound), it sure looks like he could use a day...or two.

Brayan Pena started his rehab with Springfield this home stand and already looks healthy enough to give Yadi a three on two off schedule. That being said, Carson Kelly looks more major league ready on both offense and defense than Pena.
