Venables is a pretty great DC but for some reason his teams always seem to give up big plays when they matter. Long time Oklahoma fan and his defenses hurt us a lot...... Great game. Sad to see Bama take it.

Bama's defense is gifted, but Clemson put up 40. Unreal.

Yeah I was insanely impressed by Clemson's WR's and their offense as a whole.

Clemson offense was a little better.
Defense was about a wash.
Bama won the game on special teams, onside kick and kickoff return.

Venables is a great recruiter and is a very good DC but at Oklahoma there were times when teams just killed them on big plays where a coverage is totally blown.

I would say Venables job is safe and his next move will probably be K-State when Snyfer retires.

Yeah don't get me wrong I think Veables is a great coach and I love seeing him have success after OU.
