Be interesting to see how the class 1 & 2 squads did against higher class teams.... Example the EMO conference includes a good mix of class 1-2-3 teams... While some may not play games above their class...

I have no horse in the race and if these picks are anywhere near my college bracket picks in the past then don't use my picks as a reference!! Good luck to all the teams playing and I'm excited to see how it all pans out!

I don't know if the other regions have a team that can run up and down and handle the pressure of walnut grove or advance.

If Stanberry makes it to the final 4 you won't be able to trap them on a big floor in Columbia they will dunk on you all day if you try to trap them.
If Winston makes it to the final four they will run around traps & kill you with lay ups.
So if you think WG or Advance can press them good luck. It has not worked all year on them.
Jefferson tried a little on Stanberry & Stanberry just spread the floor on a small floor & killed them. Jefferson are kings of the press so my money is with Stanberry or Winston to win it all.

Jefferson is fairly decent at the press but they are athletically inferior to the other teams. Time will definitely settle/tell the story. It's a fun ride!

But I will say, Advance, Stanberry and Winston are in a different world than most class 1 schools. These teams would beat most class 2 and a lot of class 3 schools. They will be fun to watch in COMO.

Bubba has Advance tough. Winston is stupid fast and Stanberry just has a bunch of athletic studs..... Fun is coming our way.

Well I know you said you haven't seen Wg but they've played against Class 2's and 3's all season so you might want to rethink if they have a chance against those other three teams that you have picked.

Always have, always will. But that's because of my small school background and first hand knowledge of just what it means to a community following their team on this quest. It is a beautiful thing to be a part of.

Any thoughts after the Sectional round???

Wg survived and advanced. Played a very scrappy Weableau team that played very well. But in the end Wg's pressure was to much for them in the final quarter.
Congrats to all of the Sectional winners and good luck in the Quartfinals.

I think Walnut Grove wins by 20. I've got Glasgow in a close one, and I don't know about the SE. Winston v. Stanberry should be a Great game. Possibly the state championship game really.

Well, what do I know, I had Advance in the Final Four. They are a pretty tough out so Gideon must be legit, or had a heck of a game.......SO I guess my thoughts now are

WG over Drexel.........Don't really know how the game will go

Gideon vs School of the Ozarks........Have no Idea

Glasgow vs Mercer.......I am still with Glasgow on this one. Mercer has had a easy road so far. As I said before, one of these teams will make it to the final four, but just don't bring enough hp.

Stanberry vs Winston.......the quick and talented vs super athletic bigs. I am going with Stanberry on this one. However, either one of these teams will be a load at COMO. Kinda sad one of these teams won't be there, they both have what it takes.

Winston shut down the outside game of Hardin but had trouble with the inside game. Stanberry has more big men so it should be interesting.
