I think this has the potential to be an all St. Louis matchup of schools that are really close in proximity to each other. IMO, LN & LSN's runs both end in the semi's. LN & LSN are tested to a point in KC, but nothing like ESL or traveling to other states to play top tier talent. Also, nothing against the LSN/DeSmet matchup (both are great teams for getting this far), but based on what the early season results showed from them each playing their counterparts, I think the LN/CBC game is for the drivers seat to Class 6 this year. Either way the Championship game might not be the greatest in Class 6. Both semi's should be great games, just giving the edge to CBC based on not knowing how LN will handle not being the most developed team on the field and potentially looking across the line at someone you have to beat instead of just roll over. I think this was the difference last year in the championship game, IMO.

Now if Liberty North doesn't have six turnovers like last year, they win by 14. CBC hasn't seen a D like this one. LOL

And LN has not seen an offense like this one. Throw CBC's loss to National power ESL out the window. They handled the rest of their schedule very well including nice wins over Milton GA and Bishop Chatard IN. Warren Central was way down this year so that is another throw away.

Gonna do the same thing as Kearney-Smithville: Heart says Liberty North head says CBC.

My head says Liberty North has had a tougher schedule.

KC metro is decent but not so sure about that one.

In Calpreps I trust. Stronger top end schedule. Last year's championship was a fluke game. CBC got lucky with the LN sh*tting the bed with six turnovers.

LN
WINS:
#161 Lee's Summit North (Lee's Summit, MO) (17-7),
#491 Blue Springs South (Blue Springs, MO) (37-6),
#491 Blue Springs South (Blue Springs, MO) (41-7),
#795 Park Hill South (Riverside, MO) (34-7),
#795 Park Hill South (Riverside, MO)

CBC
WINS:
#149 Milton (GA) (41-27),
#655 Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis, IN) (55-24),
-----------------
#881 Warren Central (Indianapolis, IN) (52-25),

Regardless of outcome I am REALLY REALLY pulling for Van Dyne to redeem himself. I have a feeling that will be no issue at all............

Telling game for me on the LN schedule is the Rockhurst game, Rockhurst was good, but young and was within one td at LN. Just not the same caliber that the CBC kids have faced. PHS was a good team, but gets beat by CBC 10 out of 10 times. I don't believe they will be able to overpower them with the run as they are used too and will come down to what they can do through the air, just haven't seen it all year consistently from them, maybe because they didn't have to or not.

Apples vs. Oranges vs. Pears vs. Peaches. How on Earth Maxpreps or anyone else ranks teams from different states with no common opponents is beyond me. I go mainly on my perception of the strength of each State/Metro Area but concede no way to know them all..............

Rockhurst was very inconsistent. That will not be the case next year. Donohoe is gonna have a serious contender in 2023 mark it down. That being said we are all about THIS year and I tend to agree. CBC took a serious beating at ESL it appears they really learned from that experience. Always like teams who have taken regular season losses to top competition it tends to sharpen them.

Agree, that Rockhurst team next year has scary potential, return a ton of JR's on a team that competed all year and just showed youth at the end.

Potential? boy you are going out on a limb there!! Also you have some strange analysis IMO.

Only time will tell i guess. 4 very talented teams still left. Honestly I think any of them could win the whole thing.

Thanks for that cutting edge analysis, really feel like you cleared things up!

Let me clear it up for you. You made a long post about the potential for an all st louis match up....when there are 4 teams left so i thought that was obvious. I think Desmet and CBC have played against higher end talent in some of their games. I think the KC schools have played against good teams as well they just didn't have to travel outside the state to do it. Both games should be solid. Liberty North and CBC seems like a toss up but would have to go with CBC based on last years results. This is probably the real state championship game. I believe LSN will beat Desmet because they have a better defense. CBC wins it in COMO

Last year Liberty North had six turnovers, and four of them at least, were unforced. If you talk to LN people they will tell you the best team they played last year was Lee's Summit North.

Liberty North by 10.

LSN shouldn't have any problem, but something is off lately. Are they missing players? With the D1 talent Mozee has amassed I thought they'd be winning a lot easier. DeSmet's schedule will definitely help them though.
I can't get over the 60+ CBC gave up in 3 quarters to ESL. Liberty North's starting defense hasn't given up more than 7 points and that includes a couple C6 teams (Ray Pec and Park Hill) who appeared to have put all their talent on offense this year and were scoring 50 weekly and also giving up what seemed like 50. The revenge factor of last season as well. This game feels more like the state championship than the semifinal, but who knows the winner might let down their guard next week and LSN or DeSmet steps up.

An All KC final. Seven of the top Ten are from the KC Metro in C6.

The thing is, when the claim is made that CBC has had this incredibly hard schedule that LN hasn't face, there is at least the Calpreps source that calls bullshit on that claim.

I would really, really have liked LN to keep that Bentonville AR game. KC metro C6 definitely was good this year especially with the re-emergence of Blue Springs South but still think playing National powers benefits big time. The standout for me is CBC beating Milton GA. The IN schools were not top end this year will admit that. ESL is in the stratosphere and I will be totally shocked if anyone has much for them in IL 6A.

6 TO’s with Jones at the helm, that factor will play heavily here also. Kids make plays but, coaches make in-game adjustments. Most of the offense for LN came after they hung 28 or so on them. It was over and guessing they relaxed a bit so not sure if stacks up like you think.

I was at the game. It stacks up like what I saw in the stands.

Watching the entire game webcast last year the appearance was like a basketball game where one team gets a huge lead then trades baskets the rest of the game ergo I think this is a real good observation. That being said this LN defense is the real deal so no way CBC repeats this even if I do think they will prevail.

If a team turns the ball over 6 times, it usually makes no difference what kind of defense they play.
