No doubt Blue Springs should rebound in 2016. I do still think upmover Park Hill will be a major factor in this class. Others in the KC metro are much harder to read especially LSW with a new HC but there's no doubt the talent is there for a big run. I notice you don't have Kickapoo in the top 10............know they lost a lot but I'd probably have them in there somewhere.

Kickapoo was literally either 10B or 11. They just missed the cut.

I think class 6 in KC could be wide open this year. BS will be better than last year. PH will be very good. I have also heard that LSW and LS will be a factor in the group. Rock is always a force also.

BS will have a very tough road game in week three when they travel down to Fayetteville AR.

After the complete collapse last year in Blue Springs C6, what outside of a huge class size and history makes anyone think that they will be 1000% better?

I wouldn't be surprised to see K-Poo break into the top 10 after a couple games. Should have a solid squad this year.

I'm not sure what team would beat them in the regular season. Would not be surprised if Kickapoo is 9-0 going into districts with the 1-2 seed.

Would be no surprise to see Blue Springs South back in the Championship, coaching change is always a little tough to factor in, but they should be really stout again this year. I am not on board with Blue Springs. They have to improve a great deal from last year and I just don't see it, Park Hill is really the team to beat in KC area this year - if Graves has his motor running the whole game he can be really dominate - he took to many plays off last year. If it comes down to a kick Park Hill has one of the top kickers in the midwest - its worth going just to watch Sampson kick.

Just curious what you think overall in the Northland..............my top 5 regardless of class preseason looks like this:

1) Park Hill
2) Liberty North
3) Staley
4) Kearney
5) Platte County

I would really like to see what Poo would do if they played all C6 schools during the year.

I think the one thing that tells me they will be better this year is that their Soph & Jr class will have a year under their belt. Also they played pretty well down the stretch. I am not saying they will go undefeated but they will be better.

From what I hear BBS lost a lot of starters from last year. I see them maybe going 6-4, 5-5. As for Park Hill. They will be a factor in C6. Time will tell how they do in the Suburban conference. Can't wait for the games to begin.

Good points , thanks !

It would be great if K-Poo could play more C6 schools throughout the year. We have been the big fish in a little pond for a while. I believe that hurts us in the long run since we don't get a chance to gauge ourselves with the rest of C6. Maybe as Joplin leaves the OC that will open up a spot to play a decent KC team during the season in the years to come.

Liberty North is 1-5 against Kearney. Coaching changes always make me cautious, otherwise Staley might be #2...I know, he's been there, but you never know.

Agree but the 1 was last year and North toppled eventual C5 champ Fort O and have a pretty good compliment of returning starters. What makes this year so tough to figure is how few teams in the area do return many starters (Park Hill is the glaring exception).

I will use heart to make my picks, throwing out logic for one post...:D

05) St Joe Central

Ah! Im glad to finally see the Class 6 rankings. I want to mention Lee's Summit North. They had the best season, in a very long time, last year and return most of their starters. They also had a HUGE freshman class last year and there is a lot of talent with those players. Not saying they win it all this year, but will be a force and should only get better the next two seasons.

He's been there and been running the show for years.

Thanks for clarification, I like Staley as well.
Can not wait until Staley, Kearney matchup ...
It is week 8.............same here! Actually K plays all three C5 top area contenders this fall.

Week 1... Liberty North @ Staley How's that for a season opener ?
Homey is the Ross kid back at Staley? If so all three C5 contenders will probably feature very robust running games this fall.
