Lebanon really only has two effective plays in their bag but carthage is having a hard time stopping the run. They are in this game more than the score would indicate. Second half could be interesting!

Lebanon could flat run the ball but made a couple really costly mistakes and had zero success on defense. I felt like the yellowjackets might have had the momentum going into half but carthage shut down those dreams in a hurry. Seemed like it went from competitive to a complete blowout in just a matter of minutes. Lebanon made an interesting attempt to stop the running clock and get back into it but were just too outmatched. Even without the mistakes it still would have been a carthage win but maybe a score more like 35-16. Nice win for carthage!

Lebanon had good size and RB #27 was thick and brought a load. Yellowjackets were out coached. Carthage better fundamentally in all phases but most markedly on special teams. Congrats to Carthage on a very solid win and moving on to the semifinals.
