16. No ranked teams probable ?

Lees Summit is the favorite to advance to the final four

Some of our friends in the Springfield and Kansas City could make chances to the above.

We usually have 2-3 district upsets each year. We may have 2-3 red hot teams playing @ the top of their game during districts but the final four favorites should advance.

Metro I think your pics are pretty accurate District one through four is the tough one to call

On another note Kickapoo picked up another win last night and remain unbeaten in Missouri. They are now 20-2 overall. Keep an eye out for that Kickapoo versus Lee's Summit match up in the final four. Should be a good one.

From the KC side I definitely think Lee's Summit is the best team...but I thought the same last season and we know that anything can happen in a single game. Lee's Summit West would be their biggest challenger from what I've seen although LS did beat them by 15 earlier this week.

In D15 I think Liberty North would be the favorite but watch out for Liberty. They are on a roll and the district is going to be played on their home court.

In D16 I'd go with SJC but wouldn't be surprised to see Park Hill or Park Hill South emerge from that district or maybe even Staley. I think it will be a very interesting district.

Kickapoo has to get by Nixa in sectional, and although that might seem a foregone conclusion given their turbo clock matchup earlier this season, Nixa is much better than they played in that game (in which they lost Seth Viebrock early due to injury and in which Chase Allen was saddled with fouls). Viebrock is back now. Kickapoo didn't look very good against Glendale last night, and they lost their composure somewhat in the 4th quarter and turned a blowout into a close game. If they have that kind of meltdown against Nixa in sectionals (or even against Ozark in districts) they could very well lose. Nixa is a very well coached team, and I always assume Osborne will have something up his sleeve.

I think Kickapoo has the edge this year over Nixa. Kickapoo is deep. I'm not sure Nixa has the depth they had last year. Plus, Kickapoo has something to prove after last year's sectional loss at SBU. Jared Ridder matches up well against Nixa's Chase Allen. I give the advantage to Ridder because of his inside/outside game. He can step out and hit the three and is just as effective inside. As Coach Rippee continues to hammer home that if his team will play unselfish basketball they can be pretty successful. In last year's sectional game with Nixa, Kickapoo was down by 21 at one point and cut the lead to three, but just didn't have enough in the tank to finish.

I saw the Kickapoo vs. K.C. Barstow game played at Ozark in the Scoreboard Guy Shootout. It was the first time that I had seen Kickapoo play this year. I thought they played very unselfishly in that game. The results showed in Kickapoo's 15-point win over a very talented Barstow Knights team. I was equally impressed with Barstow. They had a very tough game the night before, plus had to make the trip on Saturday. Kickapoo's depth and bench play was the difference.

I would agree with metro-dude's final four in Class 5.
