District 5 Championship

Class 5 #3 Helias Catholic(Jeff City) (21-6)
v.s.
Class 5 #7 Jefferson City (20-7)

JC beat Helias by 22 just a few weeks ago so this should be interesting



District 6 Championship

Class 5 #4 West Plains (21-7)
v.s.
Class 5 #5 Rolla (23-5)

WP beat Rolla by 5 just a few weeks ago. Should be another interesting game.

The winner of these two play each other on the QFs


5 of the top 10 teams in Class 5 are in these two districts.
Would have been 6 of the top 10 had #1 Carl Junction not been sent north.

There’s only 5 top 10 teams in the other 6 district’s combined in Class 5.

The winner of the QF between these two districts would likely play Class 5 #6 Lutheran St.Charles(23-5) who has a win over C5#3 Helias and a 2 pt loss to Class 5 #2 Burroughs.
Lutheran SC also lost to Rolla by 2 at the very beginning of the season.

If the districts and QF play out the way they are in my head, the Final Four will resemble something like this:

Class 5 #2 John Burroughs
vs.
Class 5 #1 Carl Junction

Bottom:

Class 5 #6 Lutheran St Charles
v.s.
Helias/Jeff City/Rolla/West Plains

Going to be a fun week. I think JC wins that game, but not be nearly the amount of the first time.

Rolla and WP is a toss up. The Zizzers have to start well and hit some 3s when they are open.

CJ appears to be in a class by themselves.

The CJ game at Webb tomorrow night is actually a tough spot. Of course the 1 playing on the home court of the 2 is absurd. Also Webb will play harder in this game than anyone thinks is possible. It happened 2 years ago in this spot when Webb led the entire game until the last 90 seconds. Webb also has a D1 player. Tough spot.

Other than this I think Burroughs is the toughest game for CJ.
