He's on the sideline but dressed and looks fine.Wait. Without Gall?
I wonder if they just don’t want to risk a stupid injury over a seemingly sure fire winHe's on the sideline but dressed and looks fine.
Not sure fire so far!I wonder if they just don’t want to risk a stupid injury over a seemingly sure fire win
I initially thought they'd be really bad next year but the freshman and JV both won almost all their games and they both have some very big kids who may develop into very solid players. Also, both have Carlton qbs which typically bodes well for Carthage. This doesn't bode well for Carthage next year

I was told by a parent they won 1 game since they started in 3rd grade.Class of '24 went 0-9 as freshmen, but JV was 8-1 this year. I don't see them finishing worse than 5-4 next season though
Carthage always gives up a lot of points to them even with Gall. They spent last week preparing for Webb...so who knows. If Gall isn't healthy Republic will beat them
Blowout rematches tend to soften up the winning team if just a bit and focuses the losing team IF they are both otherwise solid programs.Joplin is Webb City's krytonite, and Webb City is Carthage's krytonite. So yes, Carthage WOULD be excited facing Republic rather than Webb City.
I know Webb City won Class 5 last year but I still don't know how they beat Carthage last year.
Everyone cheered when that announcement was made. I’m sure some were cheering thinking republic might be an easy out but I think part of the glee is NOT facing and potentially losing to Webb city for the millionth time. If republic gets by Carthage next week it’s a lot easier to be happy for them than it is for the Webb crowd that has shut them and everyone else in this area out of playoffs pretty much every year since the late 1980s.I worry about next week. The players acted like they already won when they announced it over the speakers.
