Interesting that Moberly is ranked and Kirksville is NOT with a 5-1 record.

Kirksville boys is better than Moberly. In fact, Kirksville is probably the best team in the NCMC.

It is. They have 2 great players and a lot of youth.
Granted, I haven't seen Sikeston, Vashon, or St. Marys. Just not sure Helias could be a big drop off from anyone in C4. But then again, Sikeston and Vashon have definitely put some dominant teams on the floor in years past.

Class 4 Districts 1-8
It appears 3 of the top 5 class 4 teams are in districts 1-4.

District 1 @ St. Genevieve---The Sikeston Bulldogs are the class of district 1 but another final four appearance is not in their favor.

District 2 @ Hillsboro- Two teams have a shot here ( The host Hilloboro and Farmington ) but defeating Sikeston in the Sectionals is near impossible.

District 3 @ Lutheran South---Kelvin Lee and his St. Mary's Dragons will not be denied. Kelvin Lee is a former coach @ Chaminade and CBC probable one of the three top high school coaches in St. Louis.

District 4 @ Clayton---Vashon will advance with Kelvin Lee and the St. Mary's Dragons on their mind.

Sectional play

District 1-Sikeston---Sikeston rolls
District 2-Farmington

District 3-St. Mary's
District 4-Vashon--Vashon will be a 3-5 point favorite but when we add in the Kelvin Lee factor an upset is very possible. ( Vashon defeated St. Mary's by 10 points in last year's districts. St. Mary's 3 big guns were sophomores last year and now are very good players as juniors.

Quarter Finals for a final four birth

District 1-Sikeston
District 4-Vashon----I have Vashon advancing however if St. Mary's defeats Vashon in the Sectionals--I will go with Sikeston to make room reservations in Columbia.

It has taken Tony Irons @ Vashon one year to build Vashon into a class 4 powerhouse.
St. Mary's was pronounced dead when Kelvin Lee took over the program. Three years later St. Mary's is a major player in class 4.
Sikeston coach Greg Holifield took over an average @ best Sikeston program more then 15 years ago. Under Coach Holifield, the Sikeston Bulldogs have been a major player in class 4 for years.

There is a possibility Sikeston will see Helias at the Fort Zumwalt North tournament in late January (depending on how things shake out). Also, Sikeston has Father Tolton, Chaminade, and Whitfield on their schedule. Tough games for sure...
