I must admit that due to my work schedule I haven't seen Webb City in person this year. I have listen to some games on radio, and watched a few online. That being said I feel all 4 remaining teams are all deserving of there spot in the semis. I give a edge to Webb against Cape. A slight edge to Kearney over Westminster. If it is Kearney and Webb in the finals I honestly believe it's a toss up. Wouldn't surprise me if Webb won, wouldn't surprise me if Kearney won
I really wouldn't cinsider any game a upset except for maybe a cape win this, weekend.

I believe most think a Cape win would be a big upset. However, they gelled at the end of the year last year and apparently have again after an OK regular season. Young is a playmaker and I was impressed with him last year in the Dome. WC hopefully used some time this week to work special teams!

I don't think any of the teams are undeserving but WC and Kearney are solid favorites and if both take care of business will make for a great match-up in the dome and if MSHSAA hadn't dropped the ball would make for great television.

Kearney and Webb roll tomorrow. Still think Webb is the favorite over Kearney though.

Anybody got the over/under on the number of Webb fans to make the latitudinal trek across the ol' Show-me?
I'm guessing Cape will be very well supported regardless of the atmospheric conditions. On the other hand, I think the prediction for cold temps, possibility of lingering showers, 20+ mph winds, and the drive distance will make this an atypical travel showing for the Cards. Combine that with a possible "We'll wait, save our dough this weekend and hopefully get to go to the dome next weekend" mentality to make a sparse attendance and a bigger home-field advantage.

Go Big Red!

Don't underestimate the fact that Fox sports could be the issue with games not bring televised. I heard Dr. Urhahn discuss it but can't remember the details.

I get upset with MSHSAA too, but it could be another cable provider issue.

Here comes the excuses

I'm sure they'll be quite a few from Webb but I'm one of those waiting until next week to make my long trip.

No excuses. Just a little food for thought in case any of our fans woke up with second thoughts about going. As it turned out, I was pleasantly surprised with the Webb faithful in attendance in some less than favorable conditions. On the other hand, Cape had a decent crowd as well but less than I would have expected.

Congrats to Cape Central on another very good season! The school and football facilities are very nice and the program is obviously headed in the right direction. #1 & #2 for the Tigers are fun to watch. The team competed with zeal and kept it close for a while but it seemed that maybe numbers played a part in the outcome. "Thank you!" to Cape Central for doing a great job hosting a semifinal game. All of my experiences (within your control) were good.

I'm intrigued at what Savannah can do or bring to the table. I think KMO wins big, but maybe not turbo until late in the game. Savannah is stronger and better than years past under this new regime. They could give KMO trouble upfront in the front. KMO athletes are the clear divide for that game.

Smithville gets KVegas at home and like many of the last few weeks its vanilla and an easy slide to a win.

Smithville had an easy slide to a win against Grandview? Just wondering because GV outgained them by 180 yards? KMO wins this week 42-7.

My only argument to this was the score leading into the final 5min of the 4th quarter it was 24-7. something close to that score.

However, I do think KMO jumps out early on Savannah and turbos leading in to at least halfway through the 3rd quarter.

How does one lose? Get out scored...

I'm joking. I think this district is now weak outside of KMO and Smithville. We shall see with Savannah with a class 4 level schedule next season.

KMO wins 42-7 like Joey says but also could see 49-21. Savannah only scoring on mishaps from turnovers only. Their offense won't move it much against the D of KMO.

Class 4 predictions:

District 1: Hillsboro
District 2: Sullivan
District 3: Lutheran North
District 4: Hannibal
District 5: Pleasant Hill
District 6: Bolivar
District 7: Nevada
District 8: Kearney (I'm still rooting and hoping my Warriors win)

My only argument is they (Grandview) gave up a possession on what? Their own 17 in 1Q on downs? Dumb. They also got to the 1-yard line before the half. And they were held--an amazing stop. But 21-10 win in the second half for Grandview? And the yards they put up, almost 500 on Smithville. That Grandview line is a meat grinder for sure.

D6 I first put West Plains but Bolivar seems to be on a mission. I think the Zizzers are a staff that is used to being in playoff runs and can push through that district.

Boliver squeaked by them first game of season and I think the revenge factor plays in and gets WP over the hump.
