Class 4 Sectional Pairings: All Games Monday at 7:00 PM

Hillsboro(10-1) at Farmington(10-1)

why: The solid Farmington defense will focus on shutting down the Hillsboro running game in which Nathan Walsh and Austin Wagner have rushed for 2000 yards and 35 touchdowns. QB Chase Busenbark passed for 4 touchdowns in the regional victory and has been outstanding leading the Knights to a 10-1 record this season.

Miller Career(8-2) vs. Gateway Tech(9-2) at Sumner

why: Gateway Tech is the favorite in a rematch of the game they earlier won 30-14. In the Jag's victory QB Paul Rice was dominant with his arm and legs. While Career must key on Rice, Gateway Tech must slow Miller Career running back Markeese Marbley.

Ladue(8-3) vs. MICDS(11-0) at St. Louis U. High

why: In the toughest challenge for the Rams this season they defeated Ladue 56-55 in a thrilling finish. Ladue running back Deavin Edwards rushed for nearly 400 yards and 6 touchdowns, while MICDS QB Thomas Militello passed for over 400 yards and 6 touchdowns. On a raining November night, the team that can earn stops will advance.

St. Charles West(10-1) at Borgia (11-0)

why: Borgia earned a 28-21 victory in their first meeting. QB John Baumstark was the difference in the first meeting. If it comes down to a field goal, give Borgia and their talented kicker Alex Severino the edge. St. Charles West will key on Borgia receiver Jared Mohesky and make the Knights beat them with the running game.

Hillcrest(10-1) at Union (11-0)

why: A season ago Union earned a 35-0 road victory at Hillcrest. This season they two talented foes will face off at the home of the Wildcats. The nations No. 1 recruit, Dorial Green-Beckham has a basketball and track state title and is in quest of a football title after earning the national receiving record. Union senior Chris Savage has been outstanding for the Wildcats passing, rushing, and receiving. Expect an offensive shootout, and if it's close give the edge to Hillcrest as it's tough for anyone to match up with DGB.

Helias (7-4) at Webb City(11-0)

why: Helias has accomplished a lot in the first season of new head coach Phil Pitts, however a playoff road victory at Webb City is a tall task. Phoenix Johnson leads the way on the ground and the Cardinal defense has been solid throughout the season.

Harrisonville(10-1) at Hannibal (8-3)

why: A season ago Harrisonville earned a 21-13 victory in this match up. These two, though separated by geography are very familiar from battles in recent seasons. Harrisonville gets the edge on the line and with a running game, which could become very important with rainy, cold weather.

Savannah(10-1) at Kearney (9-2)

why: A season ago Kearney ended Savannah's season 17-9 advancing in the playoffs. Savannah will benefit from that battle and the experience gained. Expect a low scoring defensive battle, give a slight edge to Kearney.
