Class 4 final rankings

LaDue clearly best team in class 4.... who would you put at 2?

I think final rankings after #1 should go by season as a whole.
1. Ladue
2. Webb City
3. MICDS
4. West Plains
5. Smithville
6. Kearney
7. Platte County
8. Camdenton
9. Hannibal
10. Neosho

Ladue was my #1 from the outset but this is tooooo easy. Webb by far is #2. Still very surprised Smithville decided to play its worst game of 2018 last week but that is the way it goes sometimes. Just a little hint a third consecutive Webb-Ladue rematch in the 2019 title game is very, very possible with a different low scoring result.

I honestly don't believe they were clearly the best. If Webb doesn't fumble late they win and go on to beat MiCDS. But they did and they lost. No crying here. Just saying they weren't clearly the best. I give Webb the #2 spot followed by MiCDS. Just my 2cents
Webb lost AT HOME. Ladue is clearly the best team in Class 4. Every excuse in the world could be made, still lost at home. Ladue much better dominated the LOS

Come on man. Ladue traveled over 4 hours and beat Webb on its home field. Don’t give me that “if Webb doesn’t fumble late”. Bla bla bla. That travelled to Webb, beat them and won the state title. That Clearly makes them the best

Apparently what I was trying to say a d the way it was taken are two different things. Ladue won, at Webb making them the obvious #1. My thinking was the wording of clearly the #1 was stating that they were so much better than everyone else. Trust me, I wasn't making excuses
Sorry if it came out that way. I was just trying to say that they weren't head over heels better. Hope this clears it up. Ladue is #1. I bet we see a re.atch again next year. By the way I know e everyone in Webb was pulling for the Rams.

Here's what I think the Class 4 final rankings would look like. Ladue was the #1 team in Class 4 Webb by far is #2 MICDS is the third best but they wouldn't beat Webb City. Smithville is 4th because they beat Kearney and they had a strong season. West Plains is 5th best team. Here where I think the final 5 will ended up. Camdenton had a strong push through the playoffs and upset Webb. Hannibal comes in 7th. They had great year, two disappointed losses at the start of season, almost beat MICDS in the Quarterfinals. Platte County come 8th,they were strong but wasn't a real threat. Kearney comes in 9th, they had a down season and got their Butt kick by Smithville twice. ST Francis Borgia come in 10th. They had a strong season but was also a team that wasn't a real threat for the state Championship.

1. Ladue
2. Webb City
3. MICDS
4. Smithville
5. West Plains
6. Camdenton
7.Hannibal
8. Platte County
9. Kearney
10. St Francis Borgia

Yeah Kearney had another down season BUT they basically gave away (with help from the officials) the Week 9 game where they led 14-10 with 2 minutes left in the game. Last time I checked that is not a butt kicking. Had they held on and hosted what likely would've been Smithville three, not two, weeks later who knows how it would have turned out.....

Kid that fumbled was a Joplin who just happened to move to Webb City.

Gotta post one last time then no more HS football forums for me!
So happy for Ladue -- they hopefully proved to all that they are the real deal. This senior class is exceptional. The WC game was for sure the real championship final and the most incredible experience for these guys. Don't like to hear about injuries though -- WC does have 100+ kids on the roster so it shouldn't rest on 1-2 kids? Most of our kids play both ways and we were not injury-free. But classy behavior on both sides and it was a true competition till the end. Hope all the kids fully recover and get healthy.
IMO West Plains should rank higher than MICDS. Obviously the final game reflected that. MICDS did pull off scrappy wins but they did have a much easier road to state than anyone on the other side of the bracket.
Anyway it's been fun to read all your comments (except when things deteriorate into publics vs privates!) Now off to Aspen...

Check out the rushing statistics, I don’t know how you could possibly say Ladue dominated the LOS. Webb’s defensive line lived in Ladues backfield most of the day with 3-4 guys pounding their backs for a loss time after time

I agree with your basic point but if 7 or 50 were injured and only got in a few plays then I don’t think Ladue advances.

Not that it matters but as the champ Ladue is #1 so the discussion is who do you put 2-10. Saying Ladue is #1 at this point is a statement of fact and the rest is opinion.

Frog, your problem is you don’t know fact from fiction (TIC).
Fact: Trinity would mud stomp Ladue. Lol.

Are you sure it isn't spelled Triiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinty, since there seems to be a lot of i's on their squad?
My Lord, you guys keep making Jokes like this I will eventually just leave MoSports.
The typical trolling and STL racial undertone jokes I understand and can bare. This shit I just wont be able to take.

Guess how many games he was eligible to play for Webb as a junior? Zero. He transferred and lost a year and was a decent back up rb as a senior for webb. I'd like to add that he was the rb on the "fumble play" but #50 for ladue hit the mesh point almost immediately and I'm not sure #42 ever got the ball ....QB should have pulled it fwiw

I think you see racial undertone in your corn flakes. If your team sets a record for penalties in a championship then unselfish play is probably not their strong point. What does race have to do with any of that?

I will add #42 for Webb moved ... physically moved to Webb before his Jr year and wasn't able to play varsity as a junior . He was a backup for Webb as a senior (a good one) but would have been a backup for Joplin as well. I wonder if he would have lost a year of eligibility if he transferred to a private school ??

i think that could have been Cam Newton handing the ball to Adrian Peterson and the play was still doomed. 50 almost literally took the handoff on the play.

I agree...I was pointing out it's wasnt #42's fault for Webb. #50 for Ladue tackled the mesh point . It reminded me of a play that broke Webb's 45 game winning streak in 2013 when Alabama commit Josh Frazier from Har-Ber blew up a play almost identical late in the game to set them up.for a game winning drive

Lol not in this thread, in others. The excessive Trinity obsession just makes us uncomfortable. Like why is 80% of Mosports football about Trinity? It could be a couple reasons why but MICDS, Vianney, CBC etc are Private schools who traffic in the same area that Trinity resides in and have has Equal or More success the last 3 years. Yet EVERYTHING is targeted at Trinity???? Just odd unless you guys have issues with other things.
