I 'm guessing Parkway Central needs ' Bulletin Board " material for their sectional game with Borgia to be played @ Kirkwood high school next Tuesday evening. We could describe this game as a " Mutt and Jeff " game. Parkway Central has a much smaller team consisting of quick 6'0" and 6'2" Players in their starting line up while the Borgia Knights have players in the 6'8", 6'6" 6'6" range. Both teams have the will to win but have not defeated a big power in St. Louis this year.

Parkway Central biggest win this year were Hillsboro 70-63 and Zumwalt West 56-45 while Borgia biggest wins were Sullivan 69-45, Ladue 69-63 and a hapless Parkway West by 23 points.

The game will be " Quickness " against the " Bigs in the middle " for the Borgia Knights. I have seen both teams play and the Borgia Knights appear to me to have a 10-12 point advantage but Coach Kirby could have a big game plan to stay in the game with the hopes Borgia folds.

If we add in Parkway West defeated Parkway Central two times this season and Borgia beat Parkway West like they were a first grade team, The odds has gotta favor Borgia.

Dude- i think you are being a little tough on the longhorns. During the regular season if they play borgia 10 times i bet you see a pretty even split like 5-5 and 4-6. But as we know during district time the knights are a different monster. And i think Parkway got a first hand glimpse that teams west of STL county do play the game. Parkway central has a chance. They are athletic and quick. If you look at some of the teams the knights struggled with this year they turned up the pressure and used their quickness. Coach Kirby's teams play defense for sure but need to score in transition if they want to pull off a victory.

The Borgia Knights are on a major roll @ the present. I will disagree with you on Parkway West. I attended the Parkway West-Webster game. Webster had a running clock after 10 minutes of play as the Longhorns did not compete. The Longhorns did not have the quickness to compete @ a high level.
I also saw the Longhorns play in the Meramec Christmas tournament and nothing special happened.

Parkway Central is a small team with quickness and one player who can score. I see a long night for Coach Kirby and the Colts if they do not come to play. Borgia can get up and down the Colts but the Colts will have a problem getting up and down with the Knights. Parkway Central Colts are a low scoring team with most of their scoring in the 50's or below.

The Colts have scored.

1. Low 70's four times this year.
2. Eight * 8 " in the 60's
3. Fourteen " 14 " times in the 50 or below.

For the Colts to win, A low scoring game will be needed for the Colts to win. I see the game in the high 60's and that a lot of points for the Colts.

Stats show a fun scoring balance for this game!

Offensively
Parkway Central 19-8 has the edge 1,656 total points for the year averaging 61.33 game
Borgia 18-10 a tad behind 1677 total for year averaging 59.89 per game

Defensively
Borgia has the defensive # allowing an average of 49.64 per game
Parkway Central is allowing an average of 54 per game

Not responsible for any errors ever.....ask any of my wives :)

This game will be closer than the Sullivan game for Borgia and the MICDS game for the Colts, but I do believe Borgia to have the edge 61-56....

Nobody gets a running clock after 10 minutes.

Parkway Central actually beat Ladue by 30, but it was over 30 because Ladue quit in the fourth quarter (I was at that game). For the most part the Colts were dominating and if they play like that then they will be very tough to beat and that's why I have them winning.

DeAndre Campbell needs to have a big game in order for Central to win and if he does then I like their chances because he opens everything up. When the Colts play bad then they play really bad, especially against a side like Borgia. To add an extra incentive, Central's best athlete and forward's mother passed away two days ago and you wonder if that will be on his mind. It could either bring him down or inspire him to play the best game of his life.

The Colts will have a big crowd and student section and I assume Borgia travels well too as they have over the years.

If this was any other team then I'd probably pick Borgia to win but there's something about Central that has me picking them. Probably because out of the four times I've seen them Campbell has scored over 25 points three times, including over 30 twice. They have good athletes and some others that can consistently knock down three's.
