In all seriousness, what a win for Carthage!!! Much, much congratulations to the Tigers!! For years they were probably the second best team in Class 4 but that kid down the street was in their district. Glad to see them finally make it and win it. Congrats to all the players, coaches, parents and fans!! COC was well represented this year by 3 teams separated by some 10 miles. Wow. Still can’t believe it actually happened!!!

My wife asked me why I was so happy they won. I had to explain that usually I can’t stand Carthage being our rival and all but when they are in the playoffs and go that far, you gotta root for them!

I knew I wanted them to win, but was surprised how hard I was pulling for them tonight. What a great game and win. Just wish Joplin had won. Go COC!!!!!!!

Many people live closer to Carthage but live in Webb. Shop/work in Carthage and work with the parents. Their may be a rivalry but it doesn't mean many Webb fans don't want to see them win, they do. Happy for the boys but also the town. Been a long road getting here and some great teams over the years that simply couldn't make it all the way. Firetrucks will be running the streets all night. Good for them!

agreed...had a bad feeling joplin was going to be the only one of the big COC 3 not to win the title. oh well..enuff joplin talk. lets celebrate wc and Carthage getting the job done.

understandable...no one really hates a team that traditionally is terrible. i think webb fans respect carthage but they know they are just that much better as a program. my webb coworkers love to beat Carthage more than anybody. webb is a machine
