IF an area public can win it all in C3 that would be ODESSA.

I'm not convinced Trinity will be as good this year. Losing their QB is a huge gap to fill, i mean that as no disrespect to the kids coming in, but losing him will hurt.

Trinity Plays Lutheran North week 1 and East St Louis week 2. Probably 2 of the top 5 defenses in the STL area so we'll find out very early on if they have a QB replacement.

Look for Blair Oaks to move up and beat Trinity.

Blair Oaks lost much much more than Trinity did, I dont see this. Trinity will at least have Big Ten commits coming back. However, I think both teams will take a step back from last year and we'll have new champs in class 2/3 regardless

Blair has a far better system. Hurts them less.

I would have to see it, Trinity has been good 4 straight years now last year has been BO first time without their leader QB. And when you're Trinity you're replacing 4 star prospects with another batch. Hurts them less.

We know they can recruit and get transfers like no other. But can they defend the RPO of Blair? I think they would have competed in class 4 last year too.

I think both teams wouldve competed in Class 4 last year and many other teams from 2/3. The RPO isnt unstoppable, like any system you have to have talented/intelligent players running it to work. BO was very Senior heavy last year. Im not even disagreeing as much as Im just saying I need to see it. Trinity is Bringing back proven guys just need a QB. BO is missing QB the entire WR corpse and more.

I guess im trusting the coaching staff and offensive system more then anything.

Don't forget that Trinity is rolling out two inexperienced QBs. They're both talented, but inepexperienced. I say that to say they play two pretty stiff defenses the first two games and they will only get better with experience as the season goes on, so it would be wise to not draw any conclusions after the first two games. I do expect them to beat LN, but that East Side game will be really tough. Also, besides the QB position, the team returns a lot of talented Juniors Seniors. Last year's team was loaded, and included these Juniors and Seniors.

I watched the Hazelwood West/Chaminade/Trinity/Pattonville jamboree last night. Even given the fact that this was a scrimmage and they sat 3-5 of their best players, Trinity was several levels below where they were the last 3 years. Outside of their 2 best skill players at RB/WR, every level of their offense and defense looked vulnerable. Teams ran consistently on them between the tackles and their QB play looked like you’d expect it would with an inexperienced player under center. This team could lose 4 games before Week 10 ... which doesn’t mean they won’t improve significantly when the only games that really matter begin in district play.

They sat way more than 3 to5 of their best players, but I won't argue that they are below where they were last year. The QB play will get better with time, but they are absolutely inexperienced. I wholeheartedly disagree about the 4 losses on 10 games, however. Did you happen to vat h their scrimmages against Pattonville and Hazelwood East with their full squad? Flat dominated both teams. I think the defense will be fine, but they will absolutely miss Cooper.
