With districts starting tomorrow, how about some picks?
My final 4: Villa Duchesne, Perryville, Pleasant Hill, and St. Pius X (KC). Too bad Borgia is in the sectional round with Villa Duchesne. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Logan-Rogersville or Mt. Grove coming out of the SW instead of P. Hill.
My pick to take it all is V.D.

1 of the 4 for Class 3

Class 3 Districts 1 - 4

District 1 - Perryville is the favorite and that may not be good for the Pirates. THey have not won a district in a long long time and their nemisis Cape ND will stand in their way. Getting a monkey off your back can be a hard thing to do. This is a tossup between Cape ND and Pville.

District 2 - a 5 team wrestle royal here. Don't think Potosi or Park Hills will be a factor. #1 Seed Windsor is playing outside their gym and thats not good for the Owls. They get the winner of #4 North Couny Desloge and $5 DeSoto - both clubs have beaten the Owls this year. The Owls are the only team to have a bye in round one and that will work against them. IMO they have been over-ranked this season. In the other semi-final it will be #2 Ste Genevieve vs #3 Festus. Whomever shows up at the gym ready to play will win this one. Any of the top 5 seeds could win this one AND host the next round of play against District 4 which should be an easier matchup than what District 1 will get that next round. The red carpet is rolled out for Distrit 2 champ - face a weak opponent in District 4 winner; and hope to face off AT HOME against a very tired winner of a 3 set war of the Dist 1/3 matchup - Cape ND/Perryville vs Lutheran South winner. Stars are aligned for Dist 2.

District 3 - Lutheran South will advance.

District 4 - bunch of inner city publics and St. Elizabeth. Look for St. Elizabeth to advance.

Look for Lutheran South to be the favorite for the trip to SEMO playing AT the winner of District 2 for the birth.
