Saw the seeds Saturday before knowing Blair Oaks (C3 D9) beat Hallsville 52-35 for third at the Southern Boone Classic,
and host Southern Boone gave Fatima a stern challenge in a 53-47 championship.
Seven of the eight teams probably enter this district at .500 or better for the South Callaway hosted event.
The winner of C3 D8 heads to Mexico most likely for either Macon or Palmyra.
Macon and Palmyra have split a pair of one-point games this season.
A neutral court win in the Highland Tournament championship for Palmyra, while Macon was victorious in the home court Clarence Cannon Conference contest. Macon dropped a pair of games to ranked Class 3 teams; at Centralia Tournament v Boonville 50-44 and at Chillicothe 37-28.
C3 D7 will be at Palmyra and appears several teams may surprise. Bowling Green has a win over Palmyra and Centralia has played challenging road losses at Hallsville (52-47) and v California (53-38) at Moberly. Highland lost 60-58 in a semifinal of their tournament to Macon. Clark County lost to Palmyra 50-44 in the championship of the Tony Lenzini Tournament in Palmyra.
Like C3 D8 it looks as though only one team is going to begin the C3 D7 tournament with an under .500 record.
