Class 3 District 8 Results From South Callaway High School

First Semi-Final: Father Tolton Regional Catholic 38 Southern Boone 23

The Eagles tried slowing down the pace of the game and held the ball quite a bit in the first half to run the clock. Score was 4-2 Father Tolton Catholic at the end of the 1st quarter and 18-4 Father Tolton Catholic at the half. The Eagles made a run early in the 4th quarter hitting four straight three pointers and cut the Blazers lead to 9 points before Father Tolton Catholic shut the Eagles offense down for the final 4 1/2 minutes of the game.

Second Semi-Final Game: South Callaway 60 California 34

The Bulldogs led through out the first half but the Pintos played well in the second quarter and notched the game at 27-27 going into the half. After half time though the Bulldogs defense stifled the Pintos offense out scoring California 33 to 7 in the second half to win by 26 points.

The Championship game is scheduled for Saturday night at 7pm.

South Callaway vs Father Tolton... .. .

This should be a very good contest between two good Mid-Mo teams that have experienced only 4 loses between them on the season... Most likely Tolton would be considered the favorite but don't overlook the Bulldogs of Mokane with the advantage of playing in the familiar confines of their own court.

I had this game on my schedule but will be unable to make it with the moved up 200pm tip time as we'll be at MACC Moberly supporting the Class 1 Community R-6 girls & boys squads that tip at 1 & 3pm respectively

The class 3 district 7 & 8 champs will meet at the Mex-Plex Weds March 4th. I look forward to seeing you here...
