I played against those St. Pius teams. Really no difference than other state ranked Class 2 and 3 schools we played in terms of size and roster.
Clearly . That's why the private schools won so many titles back then.
They worked harder.
Pius had some very good recruiting years back then...
and all the sudden POOF they aren't when they have to play in a class they belong in!
If referring to Pius they were flat out exceptional this past season just ran into the best all classes team in MO in their district final in Platte City.
Not the same crew they had before. They really upped the recruiting.
What happened to Springfield Catholic? You'd think in the Springfield football talent wastelands they could recruit and compete in Class 3??
Greenwood beat up on class 1 in the day too.
I'd say money moved south and the schools are better
