I’ve seen a lot of spicy stuff the last 10 or 12 weeks about the class 1 superpowers that be. Let’s get a thread going. Who you got?

I’ve seen Lincoln play a couple times. I have only seen Valle play on one live-stream. Both seem extremely talented. Lincoln was really impressive against Marceline.

I’ll take Lincoln.

Cheaters never ... never mind, we know that isn't true.

Gotta go with the private school since they get to select their student body.

Lincoln’s QB having a game is the only way they’re gonna stay in this one. If that doesn’t happen Valle’s as well coached top to bottom as you’re going to find in small school and I think that will take over

In Ste. Genevieve, students select Valle.
It is no different than Jeff City kids choosing Helias or Columbia kids choosing Tolton. No matter, Valle is very well coached and disciplined program that has been established for years. Lincoln started football for the last 3 years of graduates when they were young. Hats off to them for working hard and getting to where they need to be. I hope it is a great game, but I think Valle's spread will be a bit better than Lincoln's spread offense.

For years, Warsaw was the football powerhouse in Benton County. Hats off to Lincoln.

Lincoln’s QB may be the best offensive player in class 1. Lincoln’s DE may be the best defensive player in class 1. I’ll take Valle...
Those are my thoughts as well. They also may have the best WR in class 1, still hard to pick against Valle and the impressive wins they have put up

One of Lincoln's players has signed to play baseball at Mizzou...anybody know which player? Judd said something about it on the post game but I didn't catch the name.

They have more than that to pick from and you know it.

And everyone in the county has had the same last names and they played for SG as well.
According to the 2010 census, Benton County has 911 more residents than Ste. Genevieve County. Ste Genevieve has a single public school system while Benton County has 3 high schools, Cole Camp (class 1), Lincoln (class 1) and Warsaw (class 2). Good for Lincoln for having their own school, but Warsaw is only about 12 miles down the road. Valle has slim chances of getting any kids from the public grade school system and I doubt that the Catholic grade schools in Ste. Genevieve county have more than 100 - 125 kids in the 8th grade to "pick" from! The freshman class this year has 42 kids and that is considered big compared to previous classes. I hope that is the start of something to grow on. Valle has lost more kids to SG than we have gained!

Lewis and Clark was about as down a conference can be. Marceline also lost to Brookfield. Not the resume building win you are looking for. Valle on the other hand seems to have taken out much stiffer competition. Valle seems to be an easy pick to me.

I agree that the Thayer win is impressive. Not sure the Mid-Buch win is as big of a deal as some say. Lincoln beat them a year ago, and is a far better team than they were last year.

I feel for Coach Webber and the Bobcats having to go through Valle every year to get to the championship. Does a great job year in and year out at Thayer and is a great little known program to most.
Likewise, Valle has to go through Thayer and rarely comes out unscathed.

Being that Valle beat my dragons and shut down Our Quarterback, i cant see how Lincoln has a chance rolling out there with their one man show

Kids from the Ste. Genevieve public grade schools do not go to Valle High School. If you know of one, please let me know. Valle gets kids from the parochial schools in Ste. Genevieve county. I'm guessing at the actual numbers but there are 2 outlying parishes that I know have Catholic grade schools...Zell and Bloomsdale and at best there are maybe 40 8th graders deciding which high school to attend. A few years ago the total for all 8 grades in the SG parish was 231 kids or rounded to 30 kids per class. So Valle's potential each year is about 75 students. You don't want to see that and if that satisfies you, enjoy your fantasy!

I have not seen the Mid-Buc QB play, my son has coached against him the last two years and says he is good. But he would have to be really good to be better than the Lincoln kid. But Beaman does have a lot of good receivers and a good line.

Not the same thing. Comparing apples to oranges. They’re both fruit but that’s where the comparison ends.
You can rationalize all you want but fact is the only private schools that succeed are those that have much larger talent pools than their comp.
Welcome to class 3
