SeMo
Westran (11-2) @ Hayti (13-0)

Lincoln (12-1) @ Mid Buchanan (9-4)

Just curious to see what all four of these teams are bringing to the table. Seems like it should be Hayti/Lincoln final

Class 1 gets weaker by the year.
I'll take Hayti in a romp over Mid-Buch in the title game. Never thought I'd be predicting a SEMO team to win it all, never thought I'd be predicting Mid-Buchanan to make a title game.

Will be interesting to see if Hayti will be a one year wonder with their RB graduating.

Hayti has been in the finals before, I’ve seen them play in the finals myself.

I wouldn’t consider Hayti a one year wonder, they usually have a pretty solid program and without Valle down in that area of the state, they’d be in the title game a lot more often

actually would have been last year if their best two way player wouldn’t have been tossed on a bogus targeting penalty and held out of the district championship game against Valle.

Monroe City will most likely be back in Class 1 next year.

I know this kind of talk has long since left the site on a regular basis.. but what kind of make ups do these other teams consist of?
Coming from down here in my corner of the state I can tell you Hayti is running your typical Spread Option offense with above average speed and aggressive physical D. And obviously Ivory.

There’s really nothing besides possibly weather that can stop Hayti.

Mid Buchanan is a spread team, they can throw it, like they did last week or run it if they have to. Like they did the week before. Have 3 really good WR’s and a Sophomore QB who has developed really well throughout the season. Got a good RB as well, expect a lot of QB runs too. Defensively I don’t know a lot but I know that they are playing there best football right now. I give them a shot to play for the state title. Especially playing at home.

I think Hayti is in it most years if not having to go through Valle and Thayer im years past. Hayti is the odds on favorite, but Westran plays hard. Definitely top 2 teams are in the semi finals against each other. Good luck to all

A lot of teams would be in it if not for the teams that beat them in the playoffs every year.

Does anyone know if the Westran/Hayti game will be video streamed this weekend?

But even you would admit there are teams who make it from certain regions who have no chance while true contenders from other regions often get eliminated in district play, right? Hayti (like Valle this year) could easily have been the 2nd best team in the state and not made it past district play. I'm not a fan of changing the system but wouldn't mind seeing the routes change more dramatically from year to year.

Mid- Buchanan looks big and tough, I give them the edge with the home field advantage. Hayti speed and home field advantage i think will be too much for Westran. My prediction is HAYTI (speed) vs MID-BUCHANAN (size). A very tough matchup, but with a D1 RB and a potential DL/LB I hae to give the edge to Hayti 35- 16!!!

One heck of a season for Mid-Buchanan! 1-9 to semifinals at worst!
