CJ

The junior high teams swept Nixa and Joplin so far this year. The 6th grade is strong too.

Webb up on thier 8th 6-2. Webbs 8th pretty salty. Think the 7th lost to cj though. It was 12-0 at half.

The CJ 7th grade won Tuesday 22-0 or something. The current 8th grade CJ beat Webb last year but it was close.

However, the lead story on KSN news this evening involved a 9-year-old CJ football player. Someone here probably has a link to the video or this is old news from another thread on here.

Can we get updates on flag football scores too?

I've heard from a few parents that cj (in more than one grade level) was playing rather dirty (I don't see how kids that young can be playing "dirty") and the refs were having issue with it and maybe that's where that reaction came from. Not saying that reaction is justified at all...but that's just the only attempt at an explanation that I've heard.

That's assault. End of story.

When i played in 3rd grade, our southwest league had galena in it along with 6 other schools. The coaches were teaching the players to create a dog pile every play and throw punches under it at the other team. They were kicked out of the league the next year because of it. If they play dirty that young.....its always parents and coaches.

Didn't realize the parent of the player that got shoved was a teacher at CJ.

No wonder he didn't come out of the stands and fix it right there.

Goodness...I'm the first one to reign in my own kids. First one to call them on being turds. But mercy, I might be looking for a new career if I ever watched an official shove one of my own, no matter how big of a turd he or she was being.

"Playing dirty" just usually means they have learned how to make legal hits.
