It was a good game. The CJ guards were very good at handling the ball and making good decisions in this game, and they worked the corners against that WP zone and knocked down some corner 3's.
And Katie Scott was unstoppable if she got the ball within 5' of the basket, which she did a few times. Her passing makes her teammates better. She's a very cerebral player.
Also credit the CJ defense for only surrendering 33 points to a great WP team

She doesn't even get to start but I don't know which starter you would sit so she could start.
Does CJ have any chance against IWA? I would have the thought no at the beginning of the season, but they may have a fighters chance.
IWA lost to maybe 2 or 3 Missouri public schools this year. They are not as unbeatable as past years but still the heavy favorite.
IWA beat Jeff City by 2
Republic beat Jeff City by 3
IWA is not unbeatable this year. They only beat Whitfield by 3.
CJ more than likely won’t be able to play with IWA for an entire game, if they even get that far. They had a good win over WP the other day. I was there. They just seemed like they wanted it more and willed their way to a win. Their tall girl(33) fouled out with about a min or maybe a little more left.
If they even have a shot to make it they’re going to have to slow things down, it seemed like CJ wanted to push the tempo against WP but would end up having to slow it down because 33 couldn’t keep up with the pace, in the end it all worked out but if they want to beat IWA they’re going to have to keep the pace slower throughout the entire game and keep 33 out of foul trouble. She got called for multiple fouls both in transition and under the basket, two of which were preventable due to the fact that she was elbowing opposing players in the face and then arguing with the refs when they called it, so hopefully her temper and lack of conditioning doesn’t cost her team down the road.
