With Utley back from injury...and without a starting job according to Amaro...Any idea what it would take to get him? He'd be a great everyday option at 1B. And give the IF a bit of flexibility. He can play 2B or 1B. Marp can play 3B or 2B. Reynolds can play 3B (a lot better than advertised, btw) and 1B. Just not sure what it'd take to pull him in. In Metro's infamous words...What say you?

We need an RBI guy which Chase used to be, but he is terrible this year. If you could get him for nothing then yes, but I would save my trading chips for someone who doesn't seem to be at the end of their career

I'm all in for a move. Utley, Howard, Lind, the list goes on and on. Bring in a hitter. Pham is not the answer. Dan Johnson is not the answer.

They moved Johnson up to allow Piscotty to get some time at 1B at Memphis. I kind of expect him to get a chance before too long. He's been killing it at Memphis but is an OF right now. Hopefully Holliday is a pick me up and we really need Marp to pick it back up too. He's really struggling. A trade is probably the best option for 1B though. But it'll have to be something that doesn't break the bank for the short term.

I just don't see us making a huge deal for a first baseman. What do you do with Adams next year then? A minor deal is more likely.

I agree. Unless you could get a long term 1B who you think would be more consistent than Big City and then move him. But who would that be and at what cost. Adams will be cost effective for awhile.
