About as tradition-rich a matchup as you will ever witness! Is there any doubt whatsoever the winner is going to be the next C3 boys champ?

41-23 Vashon at half. Charleston didn’t hit a field goal in 2nd quarter until 1 minute left. Vashon put up 31 2nd quarter points

McKinney looks very controlled today I look for Vashon to get a couple of those missed 1 handed dunks to fall

58-40 end 3rd. Charleston has missed 2 front ends plus 3 more free throws since then. Team fouls 11-2 in second half.

Charleston has a chance to make it a game but couldn’t hit any FTs or anything else. Vashon pulling away. 64-43 with 4:27 to play. McCaskill has had a good 2nd half with 9 pts

Charleston played ok for first 5 minutes, looked lost the rest of the way. Vashon was flawless in 2nd quarter. Second half was awful. Final 70-47. Disappointing game.

Charleston shot 18% from beyond the arc
35% from the field and 56% ft line

Vashon was 46% from the field 38% from beyond the arc and 57% from the line

I've only seen Vashon play one game, but if they played in class 4 the way they played today, I don't think they would "roll." Cape, Sikeston, and Grandview would probably make them earn it. With that being said, they should roll tomorrow against either Springfield Catholic or St. Paul Lutheran. Charleston should also have a chance to beat both teams and bring home 3rd.

I will say having seen catholic a few times this year they are disciplined enough to give anyone run for their money

I gotcha. I haven't seen Spg Catholic. But they do look good against this not very good class 3 team. If Vashon plays sloppy like they did for 3 quarters and Spg Catholic weathers any storms.. They very well could give them a run for their money.

I will say thought, this thing Spg Catholic is doing right now.. dribbling down the court unguarded for coast to coast layups.. won't happen against Vashon.

But, they do play the games for a reason... It would be cool to see one of the teams knock Vashon off..

No the two teams they lost to in the bass pro t of c would stomp Vashon

McEachern is ranked #1 in the country... so every team who played them, well, anybody they play won't be the best team they've seen all year.

Vashon veat Belleville West 79-72 earlier in the season..

Charleston has 213 students in grades.

Vashon has 374 students in three grades.

We needs the MSHSAA to allow teams like Vashon to move up a class or two.

Actually Vashon lost to Belleville West 72-79 and Catholic lost to Belleville West 57 to 63. I agree that Vashon is the better team, but I think Catholic shoots it well enough and is good enough to have a chance to win. It doesn't hurt that they will likely have a huge crowd advantage and be playing their 9th game in JQH this year.

Crap, they did lose.. I read that wrong. Yap, I agree, I think SPG Catholic has a more than decent chance for sure. If Vashon plays undisciplined like they did for 3 quarters yesterday, it is very likely. I saw a Tyler Hansbrough led PB team destroy the V in the Class 5 Championship in 2005 when they were ranked #1 in the nation and on like an 80 game win streak.

BTW...Catholic will need the homecourt advantage in the championship! They are good, but not sure if they can contain Vashon.

They don’t figure in the incoming freshman class or the outgoing seniors they count the previous years juniors thru freshman
