THE OZARKS
GAME OF THE WEEK
Class 2 #4 Mountain Grove(5-0) @ Class 2 #2 Liberty(Mtn. View)(5-0)

Both teams undefeated, as well as state ranked.
This game is also to decide the SCA Championship barring either of these teams losing two conference games.
Mt Grove is winning by an average of 42-8, with their most impressive win being a 26-0 shutout of Ava(who only lost to Mtn View/Liberty 28-20).
Liberty(Mtn View) is winning by an average of 41-11, with their most impressive win coming over Class 4 Central(Cape Girardeau) 39-20 in Week 1 at home.
Both teams have very explosive offenses with good but not GREAT defenses. It's hard to say who will win this one.
Trystan Short and Carter Otwell have both ran for over 550 yds through the first five games of the season this year, as well as 350+ from Chance Barbee. Needless to say, look for Grove to line up and try to run it down Liberty's throat play after play after play.
I don't have any stats on Mountain View, but I look for them to pass about 60% of the time and run about the other 40% of the time. Liberty's defense isn't anywhere near as potent with the graduation of Cornman from last year, but I look for these two teams to battle it out until the end. Will tell us a lot about how districts are going to shape up for both of these teams this year, since Grove has dropped to Class 2.

Interesting Game of the Week
Class 4 #7 Webb City(3-2) @ Class 5 #6 Nixa(5-0)
It's really hard to tell how this one is going to go. I could see Webb losing by 3 TDs, I could see Nixa losing by 3 TDs, or I could see these teams fighting tooth and nail until the end. The COC-Large has been unpredictable this year, unlike years past.
This game could also play a big factor into district seeding for Webb if they win and could also do some damage to Nixa's if they lose obviously.
A Nixa loss could potentially bust the COC-Large wide open as far as conference championship goes.

Small School Game of the Week
Class 1 #10 Lockwood(4-1) @ Pierce City (4-1)

Everything will be coming to roost for Lockwood this week I'm thinking.
I'm predicting that they will lose their second straight, but it will be close, hard fought game.

Appreciate the thread and insight. It's been a fun year so far.

My opinion: no way Webb loses by 3 touchdowns. Their defense is coming together (Nixa won't score 4 touchdowns) and Webb's backfield is starting to get it together (they'll score at least 21).

I wouldn't be surprised if Webb beats them by two scores. Because they have definitely improved after week 2.
