Would love to hear the discussion in the seed meetings. 1 Central ... and Fred, Potosi, AV, and SG finding ways to avoid the 4/5 seed.
Cape girls haven't been good for several years. Cape ND has been down a year or two compared to what they are used to. Saxony has some injury issues but their loss to Twin Rivers was more about TR being better than they have been the last couple of years than Saxony being down.I'm gonna disagree with mike37. People forget that 6 years ago the lady rebel were struggling to win double digit games in a year. Granted the last 5 years have been pretty good, that doesn't mean you get a tournament that you will struggle to compete in year in and year out ala the Farmington girls tourney where you have Dexter, Cape, etc that are better than teams in our area most years, and it's the reason why they no longer have a Farmington boys tourney. In my opinion next year Central comes back to the pack a little bit. I think we'll still be good but it will be closer games with the top teams in the tournament. As far as this year goes, if Central has an off night it could be a ball game.

Yeah all the teams mentioned from Cape to the south are in the long standing Twin Rivers Tourney and the one at the Show Me Center.Sorry, I was referring more to Notre Dame than Cape Central, I agree Cape Notre Dame has been down the last couple but they still beat Farmington this year, which is kind of the point I was trying to make.
I still think after this year, the girl's side of the Christmas tournament gets more competitive at the top, not saying it won't be this year, Central will still have to compete well.
I agree also it would be nice to get one or two of the teams Mike37 mentioned, problem is they are already involved in tournaments at Christmas time, and again you want to be careful to not get a tournament that is again dominated by one team.
Having said all that, I love the Christmas tournament, both sides. I think it's a great atmosphere and a fun time for the kids to play in front of really good crowds most years.
