Well, I was speaking about their two defensive studs.

Yes, it's a power finish this year in the CCC. Still also have Macon @ Palmyra and Monroe City @ Palmyra coming up.

Is Kirksville a decent team? Were they just outgunned by the CCC teams?

I would put them in the lower 1/3 of class 4. Very good QB and couple good receivers. A ranked class 2 school should handle them by a couple TD's. Teams they beat are a combined 1-11.
