Caruthersville vs Malden

http://www.semoball.com/forums/highschoolfootball

This is my favorite one stop shop for all the bad football in that area. Winner gets Lutheran North or Trinity... speaking of which @crusader_2 must be working hard on his gameplan for this week, haven't seen any posts yet... or perhaps he's looking for loopholes in the new MSHSAA number system

You're late to the party. Teams do what they do. Anyone planning drastic changes on 3 days for practice is setting themselves up for problems.

I've been enjoying the gorgeous weather in STL. Rules aren't loopholes. Don't be a choad. Jealousy isn't a good look.

A choad? Wow very Lutheran of you... I was rooting for LN but that was low. Now I hope the Catholic boys finally prove to you Lutherans once and for all there is a purgatory, at least for 48 minutes on a game field.

Haha...bad football?? Look around Missouri, plenty of bad football in all corners. My guess is you were possibly part of the "bad football" issue...or more likely in the band

You're telling me if I start a poll about which area has the best football overall: NW(including KC), NE(including STL), SW, and SE, Southeast wouldn't have the least amount of votes?? C'MON MAN

Didn’t say anything about the area...said there’s plenty around the state. Considering it’s the least populated area in the state based on your poll, how could it not be?

Taking the metros out, I'd rank them (Class 1 through Class 4):

1) Southwest - Webb and Lamar rule, and you have the occasional other such as Monett last year.
2) Northwest - Penney and Maryville. I'd put Blair Oaks in this region and they have a program worth mentioning.

3) Southeast - Valle. Caruthersville and Malden also have had runs.

4) Northeast - Clark County was the last one I can remember - 2008. That was a long time ago. There have been some really good teams, most notably Westran (who got robbed), Centralia and Macon from the District of Doom days, and that South Shelby team that made a good run.

I still think the CCC is one of the tougher Class 1/2 conferences in the state, but they just don't have enough horses to compete with the other regions best more often than not for whatever reason. Ain't gonna stop me talkin some smack every now and then.

Don't be sour, Jackson will return to glory. Perhaps ya'll (think that's how the saying goes down there) should make ya'lls future matches vs Vianney fair and get some of the talent in the underpopulated areas to come north to Jackson? Hell Cape Central did it the year of their dome run with the QB transfer from a smaller school. Fight fire with fire MSHSAA wont care

That South Shelby team that made a run is one of the worst teams I've seen play in a title game. I think how you rank the regions is about right, though. Although if Blair Oaks is in the "Northwest" region, there probably needs to be more regions. To the statement in the original post, there is no doubt that SEMO has the weakest area of the state for football, top to bottom. I don't think it's much of a debate.

Where does Blair Oaks belong if not in the NW?

Thanks Cards ! Is there a way to private message on here ? I am intrigued by your little video clips on here but don't know how to ask about them correctly !

I assume those are you, what were the events taking place ?
No, not me. I'm not near that cool! That's Jurgen Klopp when he coached at Dortmund in the Bundesliga soccer league. Both gifs are when they scored. If you don't know European soccer, Dortmund is famous for having the largest home grandstand behind a goal at over 25,000 called fittingly the yellow wall.

Both that fanbase and Klopp with his animated style were a perfect match. After Bayern Munich kept poaching all their best players through free agency Klopp grew tired of it and leff for Liverpool in the English Premier league. Neither have been quite the same.

If there's one guy to have a beer with for me it would be Klopp hands down. Just a cool, down to Earth dude.

And I thought I was the only football fan who loves European soccer...

I am still here...still, and always, supporting my Tigers. Both of my girls have graduated, I stopped posting my "biased summary" of Tigers games after the 2013 season, and I "retired" as the C'ville Tigers Public Address announcer after last season (after 20 years).

I seldom post here or on semoball.com. When I am in town, I go to every Tigers game and post scores on Facebook (but no summary).

Thanks for thinking of me.
Whatever happened to judgedog?

Good analysis... But it is a pretty big stretch to call Blair Oaks Northwest region... No?

Lucky for Jackson that Vianney put on the brakes and didn't score in the 4th quarter. They could have hung 100 on them and made the spread 50.
