Carthage 42 Willard 48 - Final

Carthage was blowing out Willard in the first quarter. The coach cleared his bench during it and broke their momentum and let Willard come back and win. Their point guard had 15 points after hitting another 3 and he pulls her for no reason other than to try and give equal time for everyone. There are 2 other girls that shouldn’t come out unless they are in foul trouble. They also get a lot of bench time??? What a Shame to have a Class 6 team playing like they are in Junior High!
Carthage boys varsity team plays 6. Everyone else which includes some talented players play JV trying to get better for upcoming seasons. The girls team has 2 scoring threats with one all around good player. The 3 all substitute in and out by “Time” to allow everyone to play. Last night their point guard is on fire, hits a 3 and immediately gets pulled. Willard has 4 points at this point and starts their comeback. Finally she gets back in the game while the substituting continues for the other 2 players the team is now Deflated and the playing to Win the Game Ends. Game over early, no drive, disappointed in their faces, time to warm the bus. Then practicing to do it all over again against the next team. Sad to watch!!!
