Neosho converts 2 4th downs, one shortish one near midfield and a 4th and 17 for a 30 yard td pass.

Neosho with a foolish interception on 4th down, but a late hit moves them from the 3 to the 18.

Carthage started the half with a stellar kick return then two big runs but another holding penalty may kill this drive in similar to the last one.

There are some fast kids in the school who used to play who would sure help this Carthage team.

Only Carthage turnover was on a 4th down pass attempt so that's effectively 2 straight games without a bad turnover

I was going to lose my mind if Carthage gave up the third 4th and 17 of the game. They pulled it out but penalties another high snap and inability to defend neoshos passing sure made it more difficult than it needed to be. Was glad to see no bad turnovers. They’ve got some talented kids they just don’t seem to have enough of them and they don’t look very fast as a whole.

Also did they put in the freshman kicker 26 after the three penalized kickoffs? He kicks a whole lot deeper but neosho still managed to get close to the 40 before going down.

Yes, Carthage swapped kickers after the offsides and the 2 straight penalties put them on the 25. I thought you could only make a team rekick once if the ball went out of bounds?
