He could de-commit and play somewhere else, but if he does, it won't have anything to do with additional exposure. No way he gets more exposure this summer than last. He was on the team that won Peach Jam in July and was their third-best player. How do you get more exposure on the summer circuit than that?
And, he already had offers from a lot of those schools, so if he wanted to play in the big time, why not choose that up front.
It's probably worth keeping in mind that Travis Ford has a commitment from one five star in Gordon, and two four stars in Jordan Goodwin and Hasahn French.
The points made about the SLU schedule, competition, etc., just make the job being done by Ford all the more impressive.
Despite taking over a program that was 11-21 last year, and playing in a bad league, Ford has gotten more done on the recruiting trail in a matter of months than KA has in three years. Which begs the obvious question, if Ford can sell SLU, why can't KA sell MU? He can't even convince the kids in the program to stay, let alone convince meaningful outside recruits to come in.
Bottom line: successful coaches figure out a way to sell their school, get players and get results. Bad coaches flounder about and find an army of excuse makers to explain away their failures.
