Brass seems pretty peeved at him for not following their recommendations for his rehab workouts during the offseason. Basically put him on a 3 week strengthening program just for the shoulder. Might not be the worst thing in the long run if they keep him out of the rotation for a while and keep his innings down. No real need to rush it with all the depth.NO throwing for Cmart for 2 weeks with shoulder inflammation and weakness.
Weird thing for Carlos was, it's not like he was fat and lazy. Evidently hit the weights too much and didn't abide by the stretching program. Strange. This is two years in a row a top player with arm issues didn't do what they hoped over the winter to be ready to go. That's pretty disappointing for guys who get paid so much money.
Yes it is. We know he has tons of ability. But I just don't have a lot of confidence in him actually living up to it. I hope you're right and he becomes a big plus later in the year.Weird thing for Carlos was, it's not like he was fat and lazy. So how many years are they supposed to deal with limiting his innings? This ain't some rookie they're dealing with anymore.Brass seems pretty peeved at him for not following their recommendations for his rehab workouts during the offseason. Rookie or not, his shoulder isn’t ready. What would you prefer them to do?So how many years are they supposed to deal with limiting his innings? This ain't some rookie they're dealing with anymore.
What I mean is will it ever be if if ain't now? I know his upside could be really good but I sure would like to see something besides 'potential' for a full season. Maybe they have enough arms to limit the innings for 2 or 3 guys but it sure gets old having to do this fro somebody every year.Rookie or not, his shoulder isn’t ready. Cmart shut down again, will not be on the opening day roster. What I mean is will it ever be if if ain't now? He wasn’t shut down. Throwing off of flat ground this week. Hoping to get on a mound by Thursday. There never was a timeline when they shut him down early in spring, but I can’t imagine anyone would have thought he’d be ready by opening day missing half of spring.Cmart shut down again, will not be on the opening day roster.
Not what they said the other day on a game.He wasn’t shut down. Throwing off of flat ground this week. Hoping to get on a mound by Thursday. They were either wrong, or you misheard, or the PD article is wrong. Not what they said the other day on a game.
All I know for sure is once again he ain't in the rotation helping them win games while drawing a nice fat paycheck. They were either wrong, or you misheard, or the PD article is wrong.
If Waino can get outs...big freaking if, btw...I like CMart in the pen. Reyes/Miller/Hicks/CMart...I like the late innings. All I know for sure is once again he ain't in the rotation helping them win games while drawing a nice fat paycheck.
I agree on him in the pen, I think he can be a serious help there. maybe less pitches per game and less time to get flustered about stuff out of his control. I'd just like ti see him healthy for a while. If Waino can get outs...big freaking if, btw...I like CMart in the pen. Reyes/Miller/Hicks/CMart...I like the late innings.
