So much for the Reds players being hurt and not playing. They won again today to assure the Birds are going to LA Friday. Now the Cards need to go out and get Waino #21 and and rest up a few days.

Well never mind about the 21st win. Last night they said Wainwright would start today no matter what and see how many innings to let him go. Not sure why they want to have 10 days off before facing the Dodgers. I also don't know why they wouldn't let Scruggs start in place of Adams with all the other changes they made at the last minute.

I agree on Scruggs he never got a chance and Adams has sure run into a wall in Sept. but you could say that about everybody accept maybe Holliday

Since there is no one else around I guess I'll talk to myself. Cardinals have at least 3 more games and hopefully several more. We'll see if they can find enough offense to make it interesting. I guess we'll see who make the roster for this series pretty soon. Will they keep all 3 catchers? Mo didn't rule it out. Will Kozma be on a another playoff team after spending nearly all season in Memphis? I can hear some heads exploding at the thought of Kozma making the cut.

I think Kozma is in. Speed and defense trump anything Ellis brings to table.

You have been complaining about their lack of hitting for three months. And rightfully so. Having Kosmo on the roster sure as heck won't help with that problem. Go ahead and put him on there.

LA in 3 or 4.

I agree. Not really sure who else would potentially get the spot. Ellis? LOLZ. Just no. Sadly, Koz is as good as there is for the spot.

Molina
Cruz
Adams
Wong
Kozma
Peralta
Carpenter
Descalso
Holiday
Jay
Bourjos
Grichuck
Taveras

Wainwright
Lynn
Lackey
Miller
Wacha
Choate
Freeman
Maness
Motte (not that I want this, but I've got a feeling that's what it's going to be)
Martinez
Neshek
Rosenthal

I think it's insane to carry 13/12 in a short series, but I bet this is what it's going to be. Would much rather see Motte left off and carry Pierzynski. But I really think this is what they're going to do. I just can't see any way in the world this goes well for the Birds. Hopefully Mattingly proves why he's a worse in-game manager than Matheny over and over and over. And it might not matter. LA in four. I feel like the Birds are bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Silly to put Wacha on the roster for this round, IMO, over a position player. He's not going to pitch.

More like 5 months runny and there is no use thinking about offense when it comes to this club. They will win with pitching and defense and maybe a little speed. Kozmo gives you those things more so than Ellis

Ellis doesn't really offer you anything. He was Wong insurance. Wong worked out and he didn't. Leave him off the roster.
