Cards 8-2 in last 10, with 10 to go.....

WRONG! This team is terrible! What were they doing those 2 losses, I bet they only scored 1 run or fewer because their offense is terrible and matheny probabaly managed them out of the game! A bunch of choke artist, losing two games out of 10 game stretch in September. Absolute joke! They have won more baseball games than anyone this year, theyre garbage! Lolol

Thats about right. lol

And the Pirates are still on our tails. The Cubs are scary and just for runny if the Royals were in the NL Central they wouldn't qualify for the playoffs

Crazy how good this division is this year. That series with the Pirates will be very interesting.

Lets not get carried away. While last night sure as heck was fun to watch. Remember, the team they were facing is 25 games under, and 32.5 back. They aren't the Cubs...or the Pirates...or the Brewers, for that matter. Holliday still can't run. Grichuck still can't throw. So my concern is still there. But this is one fun ride right now! Amazing to see how this team just continues to keep winning.

Cincy is 10-6 against the Pirates. Cards are 12-7 against them. Cubs are 10-6.

Games like last night are the reason the Birds are in first. While they're no Pittsburgh, they sure did help them win the division.

Agreed, the Pirates are horrid inside the division...but they are good. And they play focused against the Birds. Cincy is bad for a reason. I'm just not sure a deep sigh of relief and chest-thumping is really in order when you beat a team that bad. I think the offense is an issue, and good pitchers will exploit that. And you tend to see pretty good pitchers in the post-season, obvi.

I think sweeping a not so good team is something that should be applauded. Lord knows we would hear all about it if they didn't. Cards made a living off good and bad teams this year. They wouldn't be looking at 100 wins if they didn't.

Cards(pun intended) are falling into place with guys getting healthy and bats heating up.

Thats weird. Because the Cards had a better win% in June.

Please explain who is the best team in baseball over the 153 games played to this point. Not sure but I think all games count. How have the Royals been doing in Sept.? Runny that mouth again.

He who has the last laugh, Volleyball girl, will be the west side of the state. Better football and now, better baseball. Moose is on the loose.

They aren't not so good...they're one of the worst in MLB this year. They should sweep them at home, especially against who they put on the mound. But yes, to get to 100 wins possibly, takes beating them all. And it's really cool to see them doing it the way they are, with who they are.

I'm careful to think the offense is heating up. One game doesn't really equal heating up. Especially against that dude they threw out there. I'm concerned with the health and timing of Holliday and Grichuck.

But two nights in a row...does excite me! Peralta hitting a ball hard really excites me. If he finds himself, Piscotty keeps it up, and Marp does Marp stuff...don't really worry much about the others. Those three can carry it. Then don't have to rely on the Paramedic Patrol.

I just wish Carp was not on the verge of 150 strikeouts. That is very sad for a guy that used to be the best 2 strike hitter around.
