How long til MLB gets shutdown for the rest of this short season? :(

It is going to end up with the schedules being totally out of wack in the number of games. Can you imagine the players nowadays having to make up those game by playing several double headers? How many double headers do teams play usually, maybe a couple due to rain make ups? Never originally scheduled that way. I guess if that’s the only way they will get paid maybe they will be ok with it.

I saw Friday they announced double headers will only be 7 inning games. They need to just give it up.

I don’t get how you can award a World Series trophy on a 60 game schedule while playing 7 inning games. A huge part of mlb is surviving the 162 game grind. At some point wave the white flag and try again (hopefully) next year.

Well it's about the teams/MLB getting some money out of this season but I don't know how they can keep sending players out there with each other the way it's going. There is NO way for them social distance. I don't even know why they would have been able to play after a couple fo days of some positive tests when everybody else has to quarantine for 14 days after contact with people that test positive. They may have no one else testing positive but it takes more then 2 days to know if they might be infected. I would think ALL of the big money 'stars' would be opting out even if they do try to keep going. I've seen guys on TV, some pro athletes, in their 20's and 30's talking about how it is even after you 'get well' and they say it's a miserable fight to get your strength back and be able to even breathe normally. They lose a lot of their muscle mass and some have the heart issues that may go on for a long time. This ain't the flu folks!

Unbelievable. And I don’t want to be a titwad but the cardinals were high fiving in the dugout after HRs. They clearly were not following protocol. Who knows what else they were doing.
MLB reporter says at least 2 of them went to a casino, but it's not known how many may have gone. Mo says he hasn't any seen factual evident that it's true but said it would be disappointing if true. He says contact tracing suggests the breakout started in St. Louis. MLB had strongly suggested teams stay in their rooms, now it's mandatory.

Won't be long now and the club will have acquired herd immunity and we will be free and clear
