With no magnesium and semiconductors we might be riding horses again......or walking.

I'd say we should start ramping up our industry state side but it's pretty clear that with the lazy Social Media Generation and the Fascist Left demanding Vax's from the Blue Collar workers that will work that that's a pipe dream.

I agree we should be making our own stuff but if there is a shortage materials to make them that wouldn't help now. Not to mention if we made that stuff here the cost would be so high we wouldn't be able to buy the cars and trucks anyway.

Yeah we've pretty much done this to ourselves. I'm pretty sure the only chips that were ever in my first car, a '64 Malibu SS my brother sold me when he went to Viet Nam, would have come from a bag of Lays.

I just came home from Phoenix and there is three chip manufacturers coming in from Asia to the valley.

Weirdly the Chip issue is that the Car Manufactures haven't updated their Chipware....they use old out dated stuff that the manufactures don't make a high profit on because everyone else has moved on tech wise....so they concentrate on making those chips as opposed to the chip specific car stuff.

We do produce a decent amount of magnesium in the U.S. so we could really ramp up production. But we won't, because we don't think long term.

I guess we should mine the stuff and sell it to the countries that make the chips. We could create some new jobs here and save some in the auto plants too. :p
