Cantwell is Amazing.

Paul Bunyan type of stats at this point. 30+ on his ACT after 8th grade ended as well. Not a reclassify either. Didn't even turn 15 until May. I think he hits 70' next year in shot and 210' in discus all before he turns 16. Has the coaching, parents that have been there to keep his ego in check, work ethic, talent and genetics.
I would think NIL money is going to start flowing his way soon if his parents are willing to let him go to CA or wherever else you can capitalize as a high school athlete.

September 22 Nixa at Joplin my calendar is marked!

Do we know what he'll be doing on the football field and impact he's expected to have?

Last I heard he was an exceptionally gifted athlete in track but his impact on the football field was very unclear.

I have not heard anything but his size and he is great. My guess he is Oline?

Would make sense? The guy I talked to said the kid is truly exceptional but knew next to nothing about football so he was skeptical he would have much impact at least not until late in his HS career. Who knows. He seems like the kind of kid capable of learning and picking it up extremely quickly to me.

Is he the offspring of Bill Brasky?

I can't remember the exact amount but Christian set the bench press record at Mizzou as a freshman. I believe it was 570-580 range. There is footage of him on YouTube do 630lbs. Terri is very strong as well. Definitely some good genetics for bench press.

I'm not sure MSHSAA is in any position to limit NIL money given all the grifting they've done the past 5-10 years.

Kind of sounds like this fellow needs to head down to Bixby with the kid from Webb City.

Remember, everyone thought DGB was awesome. All this early hype is usually not a good sign.
Apples to oranges!!! DGB had everyone jerking him off making him think he was a god that could do no wrong!!! I ran track against him and I remember him saying he was getting “gods gift” tattooed across his knuckles!!! Probably why he’s continued to struggle with life after high school! Judging by Cantwells parents they aren’t gonna allow him to get a big head like that!

I am paraphrasing, but MO just passed a state law where HS athletes can start earning NIL money as soon as they sign a LOI with a MO university or college. NCAA and other University's are crying bc state law does not allow for NIL dealings to be investigated by the NCAA or specific conferences.

If NCAA doesn't like it then it must be good.

DGB was awesome. He had all the physical tools and if that was the only factor he’d have had a very nice NFL career. But alas, he was moronic with his decisions and friends. And he wasn’t good enough yet to overcome that.

Watched DGB hang like 350 yards on Seneca at mssu . Later that year they played Webb and he had two carries for -8 yards and one catch for -2 yards wasn't really his fault tho . Their line got completely dominated and it's hard to throw passes down field when the QB is getting hit within 3 sec every play . If I remember correctly Phoenix Johnson shadowed him all game

The rest of that law states that the student can only receive $$$ if the college he/she signed with is a PUBLIC College/University and must be within the State of Missouri

I was at that game and I remember a couple times he'd get the ball and he definitely stood out but that one kid couldn't take on the collective and much more refined game Webb City was throwing at them.

247sports initial 2026 prospect ratings have him as the number 6 in the nation. Big expectations for him.

Just imagine how high he'd be ranked if he played at Webb.
He wouldnt be ranked. Kiante Hardin was a three star. In KC or STL he would have been a 5 star. I would be the first to say webb gets hosed on scouting by universities. That being said. The ones that actually do get scouted end up being somebody.

He will definately be an olympic thrower but watching his game film he stands straight up with little leg power and cannot move side to side well. Works well with bigger college de sizes but a small 6'1 210 de may blow around him not to mention a blitzing lb.

Well reasoned. If they have a good O-line coach who can coach fundamentals then he should make great strides this year. He is obviously strong, intelligent and still young so growth in technique should follow, but he probably will struggle with the small quick defenders as you have noted.
