1. Test everyone...lets get testing going at blistering pace. Do what has to be done there.
It will:
*Protect frontline workers
*Protect family members
*allow us to allocate resources more effectively
*know a better timeline to "open" things back up

I would venture to say mass testing would be way more useful than a stimulus check right now...because then we could conclusively get back to work and quit hiding in suspicion and speculation. We would have valid data. It would be nice!

What's scary is we could be right back here next winter!! Listening to one of Fauci's coworkers, she said the virus will move to southern hemisphere for their winter (our summer) and return in the US when our flu season begins in late Oct. She said we actually caught a little break because of it's late start here this year, and this flu isn't going to just disappear. Next yr could actually be worse.

Remember, the 1918 Spanish flu lasted until 1920 - my 13 yr old uncle died in 1920 from the flu and dad said the whole family was sick at the time.
Interesting note: The prescription was "hot toddys" - whiskey and hot water!! Due to prohibition, the doctor wrote a prescription for whiskey to be bought at the drugstore, the only place to legally buy alcohol. Like many oldtimers, my dad (not a big drinker) always kept a bottle of whiskey by his chair in the evenings when he was sick.

I am disappointed we aren’t going to ramp up testing
We really should be working on ramping up testing of disease and antibodies, as well as testing of potential treatments. When you consider the economic cost of being closed, there ought to be a bottomless pit of money for these items.

Totally agree. This is the quickest way to reopening the economy. Some meager stimulus is largely symbolic. Not that functional

Except it's already everywhere. It's in and has been in the southern hemisphere for a while during their summer/fall. This probably isn't a seasonal thing.

Now I hear the administration is cutting funds for testing, I mean after all you can't have people standing on corners giving tests.

Not too worried about Trump sending people back to work too soon. It's just another one of his look over there tricks he likes to throw out at his reality show press briefings. I am puzzled by his unwillingness to do the testing. Something tells me until one of his buddies can profit from it he will continue to be against it.

In the big cities 54-70% of deaths are among black Americans. That explains a lot of Trumps inaction.

Does the Chinese virus need affirmative action?

This is terrible that it’s disproportionately affecting those groups. But this is clearly a reach to get back the black vote that has been lost.
I think he has realized he is not going to get more than 15% of the black vote.

Are the European countries doing a better job of testing? The have a far superior health care system according to you libs. I'd think that would WAY outperform Trump!

The implications of some of these claims is crazy.

Literally to hold to this, you would have to believe Trump has directly instructed health care workers to not treat minorities well? Systematically. In big cities. Whaaaa. ?

I do wonder what is causing the disparity.

It's insane.

It varies by country? UK really lagging, some places like Germany are doing very well. You're talking about dozens of countries.
