Can we say something nice about Missouri basketball coach Kim Anderson

The Tigers have won their first two game during the regular season.

Missouri 83
Wofford 74

Missouri---------73
Eastern-Shore 55

Next game--Xavier who defeated M-Ohio 81-72 in their first game this season.

Can we believe the Missouri Tigers have improved since last season or is it too early to make a prediction?

It's early but some of the new guys look decent. We will learn more when they play some real teams away from CoMo - let's check in after Xavier before we get too far ahead of ourselves.

Too early to tell really, but there are some things that look better. Last year Clark was about the only option to create any offense when someone had to get their own. This year, he seems to be about fourth on that list. Walton, Phillips, and Isabell (when he's not doing something INSANELY stupid to put himself on the bench) all look capable of that this season. Puryear has been far better on offense than I expected. Gant is going to have to be much better than he has been in the first two games if MU is going to be much better though. Their post play has got to be at least competent enough offensively to create space for their guards to play in. And I don't think they can be that unless Gant shows some game on offense. Allen and Woods have great bounce and energy, but it's obvious Puryear and Gant are going to have to score from the post. I'm still not sure how they'll be able to keep decent to good teams from getting the ball deep on offense. That said, there sure are signs of improvement. Offense has more flow (even on a night when they struggled to shoot from the perimeter like against UMES) and guys seem more willing to share the ball. Should lead to fewer turnovers and less horrible shot selection. Mark it down, if Gant and Isabell are among the best players in January, this team will be very competitive in the SEC.

Offense looked terrible tonight, but they were gong to the hole and just missing shots. Not sure but they held K-State to a low shooting %.

Pathetic offense. Anderson needs to ride the backs of the freshmen.

#1Cardinal fan and others can we identify the 2016 freshmen who will be in the starting line up or future rotation players @ Missou? How would Missouri's recruiting class of 2016 rank with past Tiger recruiting classes? The answers to the above questions could tell us if Kim Anderson can lead the Missouri Tigers back to the NCAA Tournament and be rewarded an extension on his coaching contract.

At least Coach Anderson knew what to say at the post game press conference because he gave that same speech about 20 times last season! They do look better and play harder. Just will be bumps like last night when playing freshmen and sophomores!

Offense is really, really, really bad at this point. They looked really out of control last night. Not much adjustment from the ball screens. KSt continued to hedge, and I think I saw one slip/flash from behind. Not sure I ever saw the handler reverse and throw behind. The lack of adjustments is frustrating. Last night looked like a team trying to squeeze a square peg into a round hole. Lots of head down dribbling into traffic. But if CVL is the only capable shooter, it's really hard to do much of anything on offense against decent teams. Gant has been horrid. Woods is as advertised, which is bad offensively. Rosburg is still completely worthless. Puryear has been a very nice surprise. Isabell is still MIA. Last night was a definite step backward, which is to be expected with so much youth.

KA came in on relative short notice and had no recruits in his personal pipeline. The sophomore class was taken mostly on reference from others. If he would have had the time to watch and evaluate them which ones would he have actually taken?

The sophomore class was good and he promptly ran a lot of them off.

He's a really nice guy?
We all believe " Clean Kim Anderson " is a nice guy but sometimes nice guys finish last. Missouri needs a couple of 5 position players. The Tigers have to many guards to be on the happy side.

Speaking of nice guys, What kind of guys are Rick Pinito and Roy Williams?

Oh I agree, I was just saying something Nice about him. I don't think he's going to work at Mizzou.
