decides who goes where in the brackets. It used to be east/west, then some north/south. However in classes 3 and 4 you have schools no more than 40 minutes apart in St. Louis on opposite sides of bracket, hmm let me see what conclusion I can come too? Uh, hmm, nope common sense cannot come up with an answer.

Sometimes there is a geographical imbalance. There are KC and St. Louis teams that end up in the same district in Class 6.

I believe grandview played raytown or raytown south in the basketball championship game last year and they are in the same conference. Weird how they set the brackets

When did boonville and Calif play. Calif played mics and Aurora in championships in late 90's. Was it before then?

Same thing that I was just referencing in another thread. MICDS and Ladue campuses are literally(according to google maps), 1.6 miles apart and they’re on opposite sides of the bracket. Less than two miles. Wow.

MSHSAA may regret no longer being able to have games in the dome; seeing the size of the Ladue crowd, it is a wonder how well St. Louis folks will travel to Columbia. This year's state title games may not be near as profitable.

You have to admit two school 4 miles apart on opposite sides of bracket is a bit ridiculous. Mshsaa always likes to cite travel considerations . I dont have a dog in the hunt, just a lil hypocrisy from the ivory tower.

Its all just a coincidence just like in a year when west plains has 2 dozen seniors and are loaded they suddenly get moved to district one for the first time 3-4 hours away from most of the teams in the district. Coincidence.

Actually duck, wp was in that district for two cycles back in the mid 2000's. Won it in twice I believe, 2004 and 2007. They drive 3 plus hours to Webb and Carl junction. It's all the same either way for them
